Okay Shannon, I don't know which one I'm more excited about: you ordering V1 or you going to Disneyland!!!!:D

So have a blast doing both!!!!

I'm a huge fan of CC myself - I have volumes 5, 6, and 7. I'm scared to get 8! It might kill me. I also do them on the elliptical and burn a lot of extra calories by using CC instead of just going at my own pace.

I have been going to the gym for about 2 months just to use the elliptical as the TM was wearing on my knees/ankles. I am going to try my CC there! You guys are great. I was thinking that I was stagnating a little bit. I have been running on the elliptical w/my weighted vest. Maybe on STS days, I will do steady state that way & on non-STS days, I'll do CC! Thanks for the inspiration!
The only downside is that I go at 5:30am & I only have about 50 minutes so, I will be limited as to what I can do there during the week.

I'm a treadmiller (like it, so don't use the term "dreadmill") and I've never looked down on anyone who uses an elliptical. I hate 'em and I think part of the reason is because it's so hard! I've only tried it a few times on an inexpensive one we bought for my husband that doesn't really fit me, but still. I admire all of you elliptical-ers!
Hi Nancy!!
Oh my, no offense intended whatsoever! I dread the treadmill, hence the term, "dreadmill". I know people don't really look down their noses at those of us who use the elliptical -- it was just a tongue-in-cheek comment. And hey, I admire anyone who can do Volume 8 on a treadmill!! :D

Hey Shannon, have fun at Disney!!! Please be sure to come back and let us all know what you think about CC... and Disney!! :D

Lynne, I've been doing CC on my non STS days!! One of the things I LOVE about STS is the flexibility to do other workouts and use other instructors, and I think CC works perfectly with STS. It would KILL me to workout that early -- I don't know how you do it!

I LOVE your blog! I just clicked on the link in your sig line and the title of your current entry really spoke to me  :D. I am SUCH a procrastinator -- it's a problem that I need to get under control. Even as I type this, I'm thinking about how I can't go to bed until I do the workout I had planned for today.

Don't be scared to get Volume 8. You'll be fine. It won't kill you, I promise -- it will just temporarily render you unable to walk :p :D. Oh, and you really need Volumes 2, 3, &4!!! Oh jeez, those are among my favorites. While you're at it, you might as well get Volume 1... and then there's Press Play. A bunch of us here do the Press Play workout on the last Saturday of the monthly and we check in right here in the OD forum!

Your screen name looks familiar to me but apparently this is your first post. Welcome to Cathe's forum -- we're happy to have you!

Whooo!! I just did CC!! What a blast you guys! On that 3rd challenge where you have the 20 seconds to get to level 4...I dont know what it is about him but I was able to keep going!

I'll marry him someday....hahah kidding ;)

Michele and Melissa!! Yeah Disneyland tomorrow! My boyfriend and I both have the annual pass and it's been a few weeks since we've gone and I'm feeling deprived. LOL

I have a question though about calories! Today I've consumed 1,528 calories, and burned 689. Does that mean I've really only consumed 839 calories and I need to have about 700 more? This is where I get really confused.

You guys are the best though!! I always read your posts :)

Welcome to Cardio Coach Land!! :D

As to your question -- I'm not sure but I'm inclined to say that you should NOT take in another 700 calories, especially if your goal is to lose weight. Have you been to a nutritionist? Where did you get the diet and were there recommendations for how much exercise you should get? Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in here. Maybe you should ask about this in a separate thread so you'll get more responses.

I got all that information on my fitness pal. I had to put in my age and height and weght and all that. Thanks though!! :D

I didn't phrase that very well -- I was speaking shorthand, saying that "I" don't use the term dreadmill. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was ordering you not to! Sorry about that
