Electronic diet/exercise journals

Can anyone recommend an electronic diet/exercise journal? I'd particularly like to have one for my PDA, but would settle for an online one or a computer program. Thanks! :)

I used one a little while back called "Diet & Exercise Assistant". It was for the Palm OS. It wasn't bad. It comes with a pretty decent database of foods and activities to work from. You can also customize what's there and add your own stuff to the database as well.

That's the one I found for my PDA, too. How well did it keep track of your workouts? The reviews I've read of it seemed only to focus on diet. I'd really like a program I can use as a training log, but am thinking there's nothing really good available for PDAs....

Thanks!

All you can track is your workouts by activity and duration, i.e. hi impact aerobics for 60 minutes. It'll calculate calories burned.

Are you looking for something where you can log weights, reps, sets, etc? An Excel spreadsheet in "Documents to Go" might do that.

Wanted to track weights, reps, sets and have it calculate calories and diet, too. Tall order I guess. I'm not familiar with "Documents to Go."

"Documents to Go" is a utility that allows you to open and edit (maybe create) Office documents, like Excel, on your PDA. In the past, I think I've seen some posters refer to Excel spreadsheets that they've used for training logs.

I think "Documents to Go" is often included for free with Palm PDA's.

I have one for my Dell pda. It is called pocket diet. It includes a workout area as well. It has a journal. So far I have only tried putting in the exercises and looking at time length and calorie burn. It has an area where you can pick a body part and it will show exercises for that part. There is also an area that says define exercises and it has weights, reps,etc.. I haven't really tried to use it yet. I mainly have been using it to track my diet. I recieved the pda for Christmas. They also have pocket workout and desktop workout. You can buy the program to sync with your desktop diet on either pda program. It is at www.edreams.ca/index.htm Maybe it would be what you are looking for. You can even track supplements etc. on it.

Thanks. I checked that out, but it's for PocketPCs, and my PDA uses Palm OS. Am probably going to get Diet and Exercise Assistant, since it's the only software I've found with consistently good reviews. There are other programs that track exercise more, but not diet, and none of them have really top reviews.
