Elbow pain while lifting

Hi,

When my husband & I lift (he's a Cathe fan, too :) ), he has pain in his elbow joint during chest and tricep work. He says it's during pretty much every type of lift for those muscle groups, and as far as either one of us can tell, it isn't his form. He asked me to post and ask you all if you have any suggestions 'cause he sees how much time I spend on here. :)

Any ideas about what he could try or what he may be doing wrong that we're just not noticing?

This happens to me too but usually with high rep workouts. I can't benchpress much during Body Pump or PH. The elbows scream. I think it has something to do with forearm strength. But don't quote me on that, hopefully someone can answer this. One instructor at the gym said forearm exercises could rehab it.
 
Some sources (that's rather vague...I mean authors who write about weight training) recommend limiting isolation moves for the triceps (kickbacks, for example) and biceps because they can add a lot of stress to the elbow joint. I think that's particularly true for triceps.
