Elaine ran a MARATHON!!!

YES!!!! Elaine aka toughYrun completed yet another marathon yesterday morning!! Her time was 3:58:52 and she met every one of her goals...so that means YES...she QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON!!!!!

When she called me and I heard her happy voice...and heard her words "I DID IT"...I just started to cry! I knew she's do it...I always knew she would...but it was knowing how much she wanted this that had me overwhelmed with emotion!! I am so proud of her! She took 9 minutes off last years time! She WORKED this summer!

Her husband did extremely well in the marathon as well! How awesome are they?!?!?!

Now yall can see why this woman is my HERO and why I look up to her word like no one else's! This woman knows what she is doing!

Oh, wow! I knew from Carole's post on the cheetah thread that Elaine had a PR...I didn't realize it also meant Boston qualification!!

Way to go, Elaine!!! Rock on! :)

Awesome job, Elaine!!! I can only imagine how "pumped up" you are for not only meeting your goals but also for now being able to run in Boston!!!! Way to go!!! Please keep us informed as to how you do in Boston. Best of luck to you.

Also, if I remember correctly...didn't Imafitnessfreak run a marathon on October 4th???? How did you do?

Elaine is doing very well today. She had a 1 hour massage and is still on Cloud 9...right where she belongs for a loooooong time!!!

The marathon was in Utah, which is a 9 hour drive from home. She will spend Sunday driving home. Sounds stinky but I don't feel too sorry for her...she gets to run BOSTON this Spring!!! I do hope they make plenty of stops to stretch the legs out! And I know she is really happy right now, which makes a 9 hour trip more tolerable!

She is so incredible...isn't she?!?!?!
 
Sarah...YES, Elaine deserves to be way up on Cloud 9!!!! I also agree she is an incredible lady. A 9 hour drive would not be great fun. The hardest part is always getting out of the car after sitting for a few hours!!!! If she stops and stretches every now and then that will definitely help! I am glad she got a massage....and again Thanks Sarah for keeping us posted...your marathon is next weekend right?
 
Great job Elaine, What a time. It's so neat you get to go on to the Boston Marathon. I would love sometime to run even a half. Maybe with your inspiration and the other runners I will work up to it. Again, Congratulations!!!
