Efficient Packing Tips

That's great advise and is very similar to what I follow. I usually only pack 3 pairs of slacks for a 5 day trip. As Wendy Perrin says, who is going to notice you wore the same pair of black slacks earier. ;-)

I would suggest you go to your local travel store (usually in a mall or located nearby) and talk to the experts to help find THE perfect carry-on piece of luggage for you. I would suggest you ask for something that is light-weight but durable. I would also suggest you determine what uses this bag will be for. Will you ever use it to go overseas? If yes, then please be aware of the restrictions for weight and size of carry-on luggage for overseas flights. Please note that if you're flying an American carrier instead of a foreign carrier they still follow American standards. Foreign carriers usually have a weight limit of 18-20 pounds per carry-on bag and only 20" long bad instead of 23" for American carriers.

Confused yet? May I suggest the following article for how to choose a piece of carry-on luggage (part 1):

and part 2 is here:

If you want, you may want to check out online reviews of carry-on luggage at http://www.thetravelinsider.info/travelaccessories/carryonreviewindex.htm.

Hope this helps (and not confuse you further).
