Hey Ladies,

Thought I'd start us off again this week. We spent the holiday weekend moving - fun stuff. The pros are coming tomorrow to get all the big stuff and we'll be done. Whew! I'm looking forward to getting settled in.

I did CTX UB yesterday and will do LL tonite. Hopefully, I'll be able to get at least one more workout in between bouts of unpacking at the new place.

I am getting extremely interested in hypertrophy specific training. Shaz posted a site for it on a thread by naughtoj - janice a while back. I may post a question on the open forum if I can get around to it. In a nutshell it explains how muscles grow and how you can train to maximize this growth. I'll try to find the address and post it again. I can see how some of my rotations in the past have been somewhat similar, (but not exact) to this type of training and I did see results, which may have been much greater had I followed this method. Anyway, I'm trying to develop a rotation based on this method just to see what results I can get.

Last week was far from perfect, I missed a day or two of workouts and I'm trying to get things back in order this week.

Sunday - Interval bike trip - this was a blast as it was a gorgeous day and the kids all had fun. We biked a road called "Norwegian Valley" and it was a series of tough uphill climbs with a few level spots...perfect for interval biking, although the spikes seemed to last for 4 minutes and the rests maybe 2, but it was so beautiful that we barely noticed just how tough it was. And there are almost ALL amish living on that road and it was Sunday, so they all waved as we passed by (our little troup).
Monday - IMAX II 1-5, and PS all upperbody with abs
Tuesday - LL and PLB ball work
Wednesday - Upper body don't know which
Thursday - Cardio, maybe RS
Friday - Lower body S&H
Saturday - All upperbody heavy ala AJ
Sun - rest unless I miss a day like last week

Julie you stinker.....Cardio Ho. Glad AJ explained this one as I was somewhat confused. Why don't you guys just get together for a jello wrestling match, I'd pay for tickets!!!! And just for the record, I want her veins more than you do. }( }( }( }( }( }(

Sounds like you're feeling better! Wow, what a week's worth of workouts!

Yep, haulin' boxes and stuff gave me quite an upper body workout over the weekend. Hope we don't have to do this again anytime soon.

Yes ecto's, there's nothing more fun than tweaking A-Jock. Hope y'all caught the humor in that whole ordeal. Annette did, we were LOAO on that one.}( }( }(

I'm seeing awesome results with this Tank Top Rotation I've started and intend to keep up with it. After all my setbacks over the Spring, I'm finally getting into the Intesity Series. I really like it.

Angie, thanks for sending me the M&F Hers article. I enjoyed the heck out of it.:7 I hope moving is going smoothly.

Briee, is jr kicking yet? Are we too soon for that?

That Robin, I bet she's got a Bosu and she's bouncing all over the house with it. I can picture it . . .

Hi All!

I’m here too! Not busy just not feeling quite up to par! Ever since that migraine last week I have had a headache every day since then!:( I think part of the problem is sinuses but the headache is now extending into the neck area. Got up this morning to big puffy eyes, slight throbbing in the head and achiness in the neck! So I missed my cardio session. x( I am going to have lots of making up to do.

Angela – you are doing very well with the moving and working out! My brother and his wife (who’s pregnant but high risk) will be moving soon and I’ve been recruited to help so I hope I can keep up with my workouts. If I can make the complete switch to mornings I should be okay. As soon as these headaches subside I’ll be ready to go!

Briee – good grief! You put me to shame! I don’t think I could keep up with your schedule. But I suppose with a little determination and focus I could reach that point again. Yeah, right!

My week has been pretty light so far. Monday’s workout was interrupted by unexpected visitors. I was 17 minutes into Muscle Endurance when the doorbell rang. 40 minutes later I was back but not in the mood to finish ME so I did plies and deadlifts and called it quits.

So here we go:

Mon- legs
Tue- nada, rest
Wed- will attempt CTX Upper body
Thu- a.m./CTX kickbox
Fri- a.m./CTX 10-10-10
Sat- ME
Sun- IMAX 2

Wish me luck! This has been a tough week !

Hey, Lanky Ones!

No, Julie, I don't have a BOSU...and please don't tempt me! You know I'll jump on the first lemming bandwagon that comes along.:p

Actually, I decided that my goals are completely different than the other ecto's right now, so I'm just gonna wait till "building" is my main focus ... right now it's "losing"! And, BTW, "losing" I am! I've found that it's all about endurance workouts for me if I want to lose wt. I can't lift heavy and shrink my body....so heavy lifting and building up mass will have to come later.

So, farewell, sweet ectos........till we meet again. :+ :+ :+ You guys take care of yourselves....and don't get too 'Ahrnolish' while I'm gone. I want to be able to recognize you. :p
 
Robin - glad the series is still working for you! :) And yes we will see you again! Be sure to post your results later! We'll miss YOU!

Robin....did we say you could leave?????? Wellllllllllllllll okay, but we'll miss ya. Keep up those endurance workouts!! And congrats on the weightloss sounds like your finding the key which seems to be different for everyone. One things for sure...the key to loosing weight is not getting pregnant...BUT this too shall pass and we'll have a special blessing.

You know, I was doing all heavy lifting and I'm finding that I need the balance of an endurance workout or two per week in there to help set up those muscles for heavy work. I'm now tweaking the TTR and trying to find the combination that works for me. Let us know what your results are!!! :) :) :)
