Ebay question

A seller on ebay writes this:

Please feel comfortable bidding knowing I am an authorized retailer of Cathe's dvds. This is not a bootleg or import. This is a brand new, factory sealed dvd.

So could she be trusted as an authorized seller? It is Imbargincrazy.

There are a couple of ladies on the forum that sell legit Cathe DVDs, but I don't know who they are or what their names on eBay are.

You can definitely trust imbargaincrazy. I got the Pyramids and KPC/Legs & Glutes and they came sealed and were brand new. They work perfectly.

I have bought and sold on Ebay for many years. 99% of my own transaction's have been flawless. Of the 1% that I've had problems with as a buyer myself, I have always gotten my money back either from the seller themselves or Paypal.

Your best protection on Ebay is to always-always-always pay with a credit card. Never a check. Never a money order, because you have no recourse unless you want to hire an attorney and pursue it.

Thousands of fitness workouts are bought and sold on Ebay. Don't think every seller is suspect. Always check their feedback before you bid. I won't buy from any seller who has more than 3 negs in a 12 month period. And certainly not if there are negs in every catagory. Keep looking. There are plenty of people selling on Ebay so don't deal with a shady character.

I also read your other thread and I want to comment on seller's who keep listing ID's private. I sometimes buy expensive items on Ebay and I actually appreciate it when a seller does this because it's no one's business what I'm buying or how much I paid for it. Some seller's will set a dollar amount limit and if they are selling something for say more than $100, as a courtesy to the buyer they keep the listing private.

So again, if a seller is doing this don't think there is always evil intent behind it.

When buying on Ebay use common sense and you'll be fine. I love Ebay. It brings the entire world to my door. :D

I've bought from iambargincrazy. It was a great transaction.

Thanks for explaining the private listings. However, I still find the seller mentioned in the previous thread suspicious. His current sales were not anywhere near the $100 mark or anything near what one would consider expensive; not to mention the 2 identical transactions listing the same gently used dvds with the same picture and description. Maybe a the sale didn't go through. But, how would one know since the buyers identity can't be checked.

Unfortunately, a bidder can't always trust feedback. The guy who burned me with a new Chinese copy of a Cathe dvd (W400 and chinese character on the back) had 98 feedbacks that were 100% positive. My negative feedback looked to be buried with the way the positives were flowing in like sewer water during a hurricane! I had never been burned on ebay before and thought his feedback was indicative of him being an honest seller. I see nothing wrong with asking questions before bidding since feedback can't be entirely trusted anymore.

He mainly sold new dvds for really, really cheap. At last check, he still does despite my reporting him. I have no idea what ebay considers investigating. Sellers like him hurt honest sellers.

Thank you for vouching for the bargain seller lady. I will be ordering more from her and this site only!
