Ebay problem--need advice

I ordered a DVD tower from ebay ($19.99 & they claim it's solid cherry wood, don't know if it's true, but if it is what a deal!). According to the UPS tracking number, the item was damaged in shipment & they will be contacting the seller.

So I emailed the seller a few days ago asking if they'd be issuing a credit or sending me a new one. So far no response. At this point I'm not sure what to do. What do you guys think?

Well, I believe UPS automatically insures shipments up to $100 so the seller should get the $ for the item and in return either refund you or ship you a new one.

As far as not hearing back...some folks are slower than others at responding and it doesn't neccessarily mean anything bad...give it a couple more days. I would be anxious to get this resolved if it were me as well but still I would give them more time before I really started to worry that I was being taken for a ride...

JMO!:)

How did you pay? If you paid by credit card, file a complaint that the goods were damaged, and you haven't received them yet. They should be able to look into the problem for you. Melissa

email the seller and keep copies of the emails you send and if you get no repsonse or refusal of refund report them and these emails will be your proof against the seller.

Wow, I just got an email from Paypal telling me a credit has been issued. I'd emailed the seller again this morning & that's the only response I received.

Odd though that they never responded. I would've been much happier w/a replacement rather than the credit. This is the 2nd DVD tower I've ordered that I didn't receive--the first was from Overstock.com & was lost in transit.

<sigh> Maybe the lord just intended me to stack all my DVDs on top of my TV & spill them all whenever I need one at the bottom. :-(

If the seller is an individual, it's probably s/he doesn't have another one to replace it with.

I've been selling on Ebay lately and purchased a few things as well and I can tell ya, most don't bother leaving feedback where I have left it for EVERYONE and most don't send any kind of personal email unless they have a question but otherwise, nothing. If they don't HAVE to, they just won't. When I sell something I had been in the habit of sending a thank you once the payment came in and letting them know when I'd ship the item. I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time...(sigh)...

If I were the seller I would have responded to the email to let you know I was refunding your money. I would have let you know I did not have another DVD tower for sale. Obviously I appear to be in the minority though...

I think it counts as exercise when you bend over and pick them up. Think of them as "half terminator climbers"
