I have been an early morning workout person now for 6 years. I was very curious about whether I should eat first or not, so I did some research and basically I saw that it doesn't make a lot of difference. Your blood sugar does not drop super-low if you don't eat first unless you are diabetic. It's a matter of preference. I tried it both ways and found it made little difference, so now I don't eat first and I am fine. I work out from 4 - 6 am and then eat about 6:30. Never had a problem.
