Eating Healthy 15/9/04

Hi Everyone

Here's my healthy eating etc for today:

5:30am - Bootcamp

Millet & Rice flake porridge with rice milk
Handful of nuts
Avacado salad with rye bread
Melon & grapes
2 Oat cakes
Tofu salad & sweet potato
2 litres water
Herbal tea

6:00pm - P90X Ab Ripper

First, oatmeal, cottage cheese and pineapple.

Second, chicken slices, appel and pineapple.

Hi Everyone,

got up and did treadmoves training for speed. Forgot how great that workout is and the time goes by pretty quickly for me.

B - two veggie quiches

s - cheese sticks

L - two veggie quiches, cukes

s - walnuts

D - chinese (probably chicken and broccoli) I have heard one of the better dishes to order for those eating healthy is the beef and broccoli but I am thinking of going with the chicken.

Hi Andrea! Getting up at 5:30 to do BOOTCAMP! You go girl! I for sure wouldn't be able to do that! Ha! Today is a high carb day so this is what I'm eating:

Meal 1: veggie 2 eggwhite omelet w/1 slice of Ezekiel bread w/1T of blueberry jam & french vanilla coffee
Meal 2: 4 oz. grilled chicken/1/2 yam
Meal 3: 3 oz. salmon/brown rice/green beans/strawberries
Meal 4: mini oat bran bagel w/tuna fish salad
Meal 5: 6 oz. salmon/brown rice/mixed veggies

Tonight's workout is the 3 set premix of Push/Pull.

OK here's my check in:

Breakfast: 2 hardboiled eggs (are you guys sensing a pattern here?;-) )
Lunch: southwestern chicken wrap (OK I have a few carbs here, but better than bread)
Dinner: chicken fajita w/o the tortilla (this is one of my favorites--chicken, peppers & onions--yummy!)

Off day for workout.

I usually weigh myself on Saturday. So come Monday I can post if I gained/lost in the check - in. I think people have their own days they weigh in, so you could pick a day and use that each week.

Today's meals:

Hard boiled egg/egg whites, extra lean turkey bacon, oats
Turkey, apple
Cottage cheese, berries, yogurt
Chicken, brown rice, tomatoes, artichoke hearts
Turkey, apple or WW toast if I have time. Only 30 minutes to get home, chance, pack dogs, eat and get to agility class.
Bar or Balance Go Mix in between agility classes.

So far, so good. Today I'm in a pair of pants, that I could barely fit into 2 weeks ago YIPPEE! I would like them a smidge looser, but they fit well enough to wear to work!

Nobody cheats in here?:) I did have a very small piece of hazelnut chocolate yesterday... YUM

1. coffee, trailmix bar, berry-kiwi smoothie w/ nf yogurt -- man, I was hungry
2. chicken breast w/ mixed green salad plus tomato and red bel pepper
3. fresh zucchinin soup w/chicken
4. orange w/ protein shake
5. more coffee plus leftover salad w/chicken
6. Dinner is unknown yet...

No scales for me!

I've stopped weighing myself - a major 'achievement'! The scales just weren't reflecting how I looked and felt - which is the main thing, right?

DH has hidden the batteries out of the scales so I can't even have a sneakey weigh-in.

Will report in nice and early tomorrow with healthy eating options.

I still weigh myself sometimes, but it doesn't really matter if I eat clean or not so clean, it always says the same for about 1 year now.

The only difference I notice is my body itself. I think, that I am at that point there I swap muscle for fat, but don't lose anymore. :)
 
Hello All!!

Br - Banana, muffin and black coffee w/ demerrara sugar

Taught BodyPump followed by a trip to the grocery store. I was so hungry shopping but made good choices (easy to do at this time of year, the harvest is in and the produce is gorgeous and sells for a song, wish I could eat like this in February!)

Snack - peach and big glass of water

L - Spicy Massala Nan flat bread with lemon dill hummus, tomato and cucumber with some leftover roasted butternut squash from last night.
Low fat yogurt and a kiwi.

no idea what to have for supper. I'll work from 3:00 until 8:00 and hope that I'll continue to make good choices this evening.

No scales for me either, my jeans always let me know exactly where I am. All those mirrors at the gym are a great reality check too.

Geez people - I'd love to join your group but eating healthy has not been going so well for me lately - especially today!x(

I'm too ashamed to post what I have eaten and it's only noon so hopefully I will have the courage tomorrow!

Have to add in for lunch sugar free jello topped with lite cool whip.

After dinner I usually grab a sugar free fudgicle. Keeps my cravings down with these couple of sweet things during the day.

I think that I would love to have you as my personal chef. I am gleaning a lot of good ideas from you here.

Run-walk 30minutes
Bodycombat17 tracks 1-5 (I'm also a BTS instructor)

Breakfast
Bowl of mixed grain cereal
1 poached egg.

Mid afternoon snack - peach & granola bar

Supper - Frozen dinner (boy have those things gotten better in the last 10-15 years!!). Chicken Madras, straddles the line of 'healthy eating' but I've been good today and at 8:00 p.m. the easier to rustle up grub the better!
- 2 tbsps. peanut butter and a dab of jam on 1/2 piece of whole wheat bread.

I'm going to TRY to keep my cake hole shut for the rest of the day!!

How many hours until breakfast?!;-)

Late for me posting!! I did S&H Chest & Back plus Cathe's marathon abs: KPC, ME, PUB....those planks in PUB were VERY tough!

Half a balance bar and coffee before the workout
B: Protein smoothie
L: Big Salad w/lettuce,spinach,tomato,red onion,garbanzo beans,avocado,Italian dressing plus 3 cups of grapes
S: A white peach (YUM) and handful of walnuts
D: Vegetarian chili w/Tofutti, salad
Dessert: smoothie
How much water do you guys and girls drink during the day??? I try for about 70 ounces...:)...Carole
