Eat your Indian Food!

Indian is my FAVORITE Ethnic food! I used to wait tables in an Indian Restaurant so I was able to eat it at least four times a week...never got tired of it!!!!

Thanks for the article!

Turmeric (the main ingredient in curry) is a good anti-inflammatory. I made some curried cabbage and garbanzo beans the other day. I also like to put a bit of turmeric in tofu mock-egg salad (for color) and in tofu scramble (ditto).

Yup, Kathryn, I've been hearing about the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric for years now, so there must be something to it. I'm trying to think of some more ways to use my beloved Sun Brand Curry Madras Powder. I keep thinking about putting some in my oatmeal?

I'm all into trying new healthy things, but that doesn't sound that good to me! (If it does to you, then go for it!)

How about making a tea out of it? (may require some mixing with something else, and/or sweetening). Or using it in a scramble (for me, it's tofu, but whatever you want to scramble!).

Green peas come of mind as something that goes well with curry.

For me, Indian food makes vegetarian food, even vegan food, quite appetizing. Ditto for middle eastern food. Yum...from the girl who is still learning to love her veggies.

Cauliflower is excellent with curry.

The oatmeal thing doesn't sound so good...

Thanks for posting that article. I just had Dal Makhni last might.:9

I love Indian food. My husband is East Indian, so I had alot of motivation to learn how to cook the different types of food. I could eat it everyday. The only thing is my children and my husband would complain about having this for dinner every night.:-(
