Easter Candy........

It's coming everyone!
For fun - what are your Easter plans?
For inspiration - what is your strategy for all that candy so conveniently around the house?

We have an Easter Egg Hunt/Brunch Potluck for about 40 people. My husband dresses up as the Easter Bunny (he is 6'4") and hops around for the 15+ kids. It is a ton of fun.

My candy strategy - I'm all or nothing and once I start I realize that candy is very yummy - so I just don't start! Those new Butterfinger eggs are my nemesis.

We'll be doing an easter egg hunt over at my father's house with my daughter and my sister's kids. Step-mom makes a nice dinner.

I'm OK with the candy. I don't give my daughter tooooooo much. I prefer to give some chocolate, maybe some hard candy, and a couple toys. No gummies, no jellybeans. All that sticky stuff is a no-no. It's so bad for their teeth. I think I may have snagged some miniature Milky Ways, I'm not sure. They're stashed in the bottom drawer of my dresser. I've already breached the bag of robin's eggs. I have a major weakness for those. I've been having one or two a day. I might have to run to the grocery store and get another bag before Sunday!

We have tons of fun, but we do things very different, we don't do candy. We send them on a scavenger hunt with plastic eggs. We leave one egg out in the open with a clue to where the next egg is, and that egg has clue to the next one, and so forth for about 8 eggs. The last egg gives a clue to where their baskets are which have games, movies, jump ropes and stuff like that. It is pretty fun, and they're teeth are still white and sparkly!

I insist every year that BF make me an Easter Bunny. Actually I insist that the Easter Bunny bring me one :) This year I am visting my mom and as a condition fo tht trip, I insisted that the Easter Bunny bring me a basket at her house. What a rotten child, huh?

I will eat some of it, but to be honest, I will end up bringing it to my office and letting everyone here enjoy if when I get sick of it. This year, we are doing our traditional home cooked meal (as opposed to usually doing BF's family traditional home cooked meal, which is different than my family's) and I am going to focus on the food rahter than the sugar. Well....I hope to ;)

For me...Peeps and Cadbury eggs. The one time a year I can eat both of my favorite candies. But there is hope, this is the last "candy" holiday of the year!!!! Have a great weekend everyone and a happy holiday! Donna.

i just don't buy any candy.. HOWEVER.. my "evil" mother had the audacity to send me three small bags of cadbury mini eggs in a package with my belated birthday gift! how DARE she! lol! she even told me on the phone she stuck something in there to sabatoge my diet! *GASP* the nerve! but hey... at least it's 3 LITTLE bags and not 3 of the LARGE bags.. cuz i WILL eat them... i'll just have to ride the bike a little longer on those days!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

I don't really have any Easter plans, just birthday ones. Dinner out tomorrow night with my SO.

And nobody gets me Easter chocolate, so I don't have to worry about it!
