e-diets- Has anyone tried one???

I'm wondering if anyone has tried an e-diet tool? Specifically, I have looked at Weight Watchers e-tools, Dietwatch, Healthetech, and the Personal Fitness Planner available through Fitness Magazine.com.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thx!

I tried e-diets and it didn't really work for me because of all the planning you have to do. You have to plan every meal and it seems okay if you have the time. I work full time and have a son, and it was just too much.

I found that Weight Watchers is much easier because you can just add up your points of what you ate. There's points for every fast food place and you can make wise choices using all the info they give you. A great website for all the restaurants you can think of is at http://www.dwlz.com. So when I'm at work and we're going to a certain restaurant for lunch, I just look up what I can have that is within the reasonable points. No planning. The only thin I do end up planning is my snacks and that's easy. The Weight Watchers website also has a journal where I log everything I ate and adds up the points for me. If I don't know how many points something has, I just look it up and it finds the points for me.

Hope that helped.

Thanks Danielle,

That is very helpful. The Weight Watchers program online is exactly the way I was thinking of going. I'm looking for more of a maintenance program (I lost about 75 lbs on my own last year, but have been slowly gaining some back) after I lose a few lbs. I know WW can accomodate "every day living" more readily than most programs.

I've been using Fitday.com for the past two months and I love it. I was on WW for many years, but I really needed to "reaquaint" myself with how my body responds to calories again. It also breaks down protein, carbs, fats & alcohol. So far, so good, I've lost 12.1 lbs. Another nice plus is it's free!
