Downloading Emoticons off of the net??

I want to get some of the little "emoticons" that are available (they are so cute!) on the net to put in my emails. A friend told me she downloaded hers off the net so I went out searching and found this:

Is something like this safe? If not, can you tell me what is if you have emoticons currently that you got from the internet? Thanks!

Janice...from what I have heard. Smiley Central is a program loaded with spyware. I use one called Get Smile http://www.sofrayt.com/getsmile/index.html seems to be free of spyware and you can always add emoticons to it. This is a good site for those too http://www.bestsmileys.com/pageindex.htm ..hope this helps.....Carole
