Don't you hate it when . . .

A thread for your Monday. What is your exercise irritation? Fill in the blank.

Mine for today is: "Don't you hate it when you're running and gnats fly in your eyes?"
 
Mine is: When you're sore from last night's work out, and are torn between working out again ( and toughing it out ) or going for a walk and stretching. When I do 'just stretching', I feel like I am 'skipping out' on my scheduled work out.
Uh,,,SO Irritating !!
PS: I agree with the nats thing too !

Mine is: When I can't get the weights changed on my barbell fast enough during the break, and I end up having to pause/rewind the DVD. I get so cranky!!! :(
 
TTOM:mad:....when you're working out and you think "am I just doggin' this because it's that time...or am I really a champ for doing it any way?"

I never used to do anything like SJP during......I'm a champ!
and I feel like poop....:(.........it's not that bad, I did get the workout in...:)

I hate when I am interrupted!! Phone calls, visitors, kids, anything. Once I have to stop I find it very hard to get back into it. This is especially true during high intensity sweaty workouts!!
 
When I'm running with my dog and another runner comes from the other direction on my side of the road. State law- pedestrians and runners go against traffic.

I also hate when people put their cut branches on the shoulder of the road. Don't always see them while running before the sun comes up.

I don't answer the phone if I'm working out. I really haven't had anyone drop by during a workout, but I think I probably wouldn't answer the door either. LOL - I don't like visitors.

I just signed up for the ogden maraton too! The striders winter series too!

ITA! I hate it when they don't give you any warning on what weight it is either!

I hate it when the cat comes by when I'm doing floorwork and wants to be petted. I feel guilty for ignoring him but I. Must. Focus.
 
I hate it when my TV cuts off. I don't know if it is a short or what, but the picture will just go snowy. So I turned it (the TV)off and turn it back on and continue with the workout.

Sometimes I will actually rewind back to the point it cut off. Depends on how much time I have.

But it really kills the flow.

I hate it when the power goes off in the middle of a step routine!:mad:

That has happened twice to me on Body Max 2 which is my favorite step routine! So frustrating!
 
I hate it when my family walks in and starts talking to me during a step workout - I can't step and talk at the same time!

How exciting! Thanks for posting. I've never come across anyone (outside of this site) who even knows who Cathe is. I'm in Syracuse, UT. I haven't heard of the Striders winter series--definitely have to check that out.
