Doing a detox, has anyone else?

Today I start my first ever detox, and I'm psyched about it. I've been reading about detoxes (is that spelled right? lol) off and on for awhile, and I've always been interested but just haven't gotten the herbs and foods together to do one before now. I'm following the 3 day Detox from Natural Health magazine, with a couple minor adjustments. Here's the link for anyone who's interested.

Who else has done a detox? Please share your thoughts and experience, I'm interested! :)

Hey Connie!

I have done a detox - but never very successfully. The most success I had was with a detox diet - The Fat Flush plan. The theory is that an unhealthy liver prevents you from burning fat, so if you detox you'll improve your system overall. In the end I'm not convinced I lost weight solely because of the detox - it's also a very low-carb low-sodium diet, so you're bound to lose weight.

Let us know how this one works for you! I might give it a try....

Oh! The woman who wrote the "Fat Flush" plan is quoted in the article you mentioned! Small world...

I, too, am doing a detox flush for the bowel, liver and
gall bladder using Dr. Richard Schulze's formula
and products. herbdoc.com. The program is very easy
to follow, kills the appetite and very, very
effective for elimination. I feel really good when
following the diet and actually do not like the way
that I feel when I am off of it.:)

Hey all! I have used Shaklee's Liver Detox Complex, which seems to work very well. My hubby is actually doing this right now. It is a capsule you take every day which contains plant-based healers such as milk thistle seed extract, dandelion, and turmeric which help flush out toxins, thwart free radicals, and support liver regeneration. You can read more about Liver DTX Complex at www.shaklee.net/robin_walker if you are interested in learning more about this.
This is just my personal opinion, but I think everyone should do a detox periodically. Our liver, which is one of our most important organs, processes the toxins our body creates and consumes.
Anyway, that is great Connie that you are doing this! Your liver will appreciate you!
