Does Size Count? (concerning your step!)

I need a new step. I have the little, cheap one that came from Walmart with Basic Step. On the internet I saw a black one (43 x 16) for 89.00 and a green/purple one (40 x 14) for about $54.00. What do you look for in a step? Thanks for your ideas!

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Okay, your thread title just made me spit my drink.

go for the full one. you can't go wrong. anyone i think will agree on here. :)

Definitely get the 43 x 16 one. I got mine at Goodwill for $3.99. It didn't have any risers so I had to buy those separate. You won't regret the purchase!

Hehehe. Definitely get the full size Club Step, it is the best money I ever spent, personally! Someone here said they got one at the fitness online warehouse (fwonline.com ?) for a much better price than the $89 on amazon.com (that's where I got mine, too). So you might want to look around a bit.

Also, it's not just the size, it's the motion in the ocean. ;-) Seriously, the full-size step has a rubber surface which gives some bounce. This is much easier on your knees and ankles than the hard kind.

this is almost as funny as the thread that jdoll started on the size of balls....:7 I say go for the bigger step. Ball size really doesn't matter to me, but bigger is definitely better here! :+

When I first started, I used a small cheap green step from walmart as well. I have since ventured on to bigger and better things! I only paid $15.00 (including shipping) for my full size step maybe a month or so ago, on ebay, very used, but still works fine! It's the best purchase I ever made! I just recently purchased a set of risers for it as well. GO BIG FOR SURE! }(

Walmart also has them around $59.00 so if you want a new one, try there. The size is worth it. You don't have to worry as much about falling off.

That Walmart one is the cheaper one I'm referring too but it is a few inches shorter in length and width. Thanks ladies! :*

I had the same dilema as you. I went for the full size step and do not regret it. It doubles as a bench when doing weights, and when I get around to it, the risers are compatible with the high step topper, so all I will need is to buy that vs. the whole high step.

The one I have is called the original club step. As a bonus it came with Cathe's basic step and cardio and weights - so I had my first Cathe purchase as well.

Now to top this off, I bought mine at Dick's Sporting Goods for $79.
