Ive been consuming 20-30% fat from calories and just afraid Im going to gain weight. I use to have only 20 -30 fat daily but wanted to try 50/30/20 or 50/25/25 or 40/30/30.TY!

Sounds like an old saying from Susan Powter.

Fat from nuts, avocado, olive oil, coconuts...the most natural kind are good for your body. Your ratios look good. Try each one and see what is best for your body.

usually

butter plus simple sugars makes me fat. Just fat (olive oil, coconut oil, walnut oil) does not seem to make me fat at all.

Brownies do.

Fat used in cooking protein and low starch vegetables don't seem to make me fat.

Good fats are necessary for your body. Essential fatty acids are tough to get from our North American diets, so add some good fats in throughout the day. As for the ratios, I agree you'll need to play around with them to see what's best for your body. I keep my fats near 30% of my daily intake, and that seems to work best for me.
