Does anyone use the Reebok Step?

Does anyone use the Reebok Step? Do you like it? It looks like instead of little risers that you add to each side it has sections that lock in place. I think I need to get a new step. I've had it for about 7 years (but it hasn't been used that whole time - I go to the gym). It seems that it is getting warped. I do exercise on carpet in the basement. The board just doesn't sit firmly on the risers. I was thinking if I got one that locked in place it might be better. Sports Authority has them for $80.00 plus shipping. I kind of don't look forward to doing my Cathe workouts lately because I seem to have to really step carefully . When I step on one end the other end comes up slightly. I think I'm going to put the board on a hard surface to see if it's really warped or if it is my carpet.

I have a Reebok Step. It is very sturdy, however, if I step on it at just the right spot, it will make a popping sound. That doesnt really bother me though because it doesnt happen all the time.

I would realy like one of the original steps. The reason is because it is longer and I like the ability to add risers to make it higher or take away risers and make one end higher than the other for abs and such.

But, dont get me wrong, I still like my Reebok Step. I think both of them have pros and cons. I think the Reebok Step is made better and will last longer than the original step.

Love,

I have a Reebox step also. However, I agree with Madonna about the original step that's available online. What the heck am I waiting on to purchase it?:-(

I also have the Reebok step. It works good, except that you can only get it as high as 10", so I end up putting some stacks of wood under it when doing the step-ups.

I have a Reebok step also...I'have had it since 1993 and the darn thing won't wear out! It's very sturdy however and has worked great for me.

I have one & honestly I'm not crazy about it. I also had the original Reebok step (the one w/the free standing risers) but I wore it out, so I replaced it w/the locking risers & I don't find it as stable as the other one. Also the quality isn't as good. Also I have hardwood floors & w/very limited space & this one moves w/the power step workouts. Very annoying & distracting.

I'm thinking about going back to the original step but they're so darned expensive. Wanna trade? ;)

I've had the Reebok step for about as long as Jo, since about 1993. I love it and for the higher one...I use my first step (1990) out of plywood my husband made for me. It is 10 inches by 14 inches and 3 feet long. I use the 14 inch side for the step ups. I can also add the risers from the Reebok step under the plywood one for a very sturdy 16 inch step used for those dreaded Sit & Stands...}( ....Carole

Doesn't it just shock you what a long lasting piece of equipment this is? I'm sure I'll be using it for another 20 years!!

Yes, I agree....I have done so much step and never had a problem at all....Great Purchase....:)...Carole

I have been fighting the urge to order the high step just for step-ups....
what kind of wood do you use under your Reebok Step (big planks, blocks, etc)?
That is such a good idea that I would love to try it (as long as I can get it secure enough so that I don't worry about tipping over!)

By the way, I have had my step for about 10 years, and there is not going to be any justifiable reason to replace it for at least another 10!
