Does anyone use Shutterfly?

I am so incredibly dumb when it comes to technology and JUST figured out how to download pictures onto my computer....

Anyhoo, I haven't been able to figure out Picturetrail and finally seem to have a handle on Shutterfly. But, alas, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a picture from my Shutterfly album onto my profile here for my avatar. Anyone? I need help....(yes, I know, in more ways than one....)

Allison, I use Shutterfly and have a bunch of albums on there. However, I couldn't work out how to find a URL from there to use to share photos here. So I actually put those few pictures I want to share here on Photobucket instead (http://www.photobucket.com) Each photo I upload to Photobucket shows you the direct link which you can copy to share a photo here or to use as an avatar.

Maybe someone else has clearer advice, but I HTH!

I don't think you can, actually. I believe Shutterfly (and most of the large photo printing sites like Kodak and Snapfish) are protected so that you can't link to photos that are stored on their servers. You will need to use a photo sharing site like Picturetrail, or Photobucket that doesn't protect the photos from linking. I think Photobucket is easier to use than Picturetrail (especially for linking - because it gives you the link under each photo in your album). So maybe give it a try - photobucket.com.
