Does anyone have the reebok step?

This is the step I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reebok-Step-including-workout-DVD/dp/B000QES0KM

It adjusts from 6 inches to 10 inches. I don't want to have to buy a wieght bench, but being 5 foot 8, I really struggle with some of the exercises in STS (legpresses etc.) with a step that only goes this high. Does anyone know if you can buy some sort of attachment that is the equivelant of extra risers? If not, does anyone have any ideas as to how to make it higher?

THank you
:)

Hi!

I used the Reebok step for more than 10 years - it was great for its intended use of stepping - but once I got into serious weight lifting workouts I did buy the step that Cathe uses (and extra risers). I am 5'11" and the Reebok 10" inch height max. made it impossible to do effective leg presses and it was too low when doing prone work such as chest press, etc.

It was hard to part with the Reebok step, in fact it is in my attic, but I really feel that the full sized Step bench lends itself to a greater variety of work. It was worth the investment. I also purchased the small topper and the step mat.

As far as I know, Reebok did not make any additional risers for the bench and I could not come up with any safe alternative on my own.

OMG! I've had the original one since it came out! Still using it! I agree with Debbie, though, it is very limiting with STS. Right now, I'm carefully modifying the blocks to create an "incline" bench - very carefully. It isn't really connected, but it's working so far! I really need The Step, but don't have the cash right now. I don't think Reebok ever came out with any way to increase the height any more or make it incline.

I had and used the Reebok Step for YEARS too. I finally caved a few years ago and got the step like Cathe's and the high step as well, with extra risers. The leg presses are HUGELY different with the right equipment.

I used to take one of the risers and put it under the other for the incline. But I could never get it higher than 10 inches for the presses.

It was very hard to put money into another step, since I had the Reebok one, but it was well worth it. I ended up getting it at amazon.com.

Thank you everyone :) Unfortunately, I can't get the original health club step (the one cathe uses) in England :( And from America it'll cost me TONS in postage :'( Sooo, I have splurged on a weight bench (with combined tower) so now it's only box jumps I will have an issue with :) I'm so excited, I got it for 50 pounds (about $80??) and am sooo pleased with my purchase :) It took up some of my christmas money, but it'll be worth it.. especially as I edge into mesos 2 and 3! :)
It is a shame about the reebok step though... but I still love it, despite the fact that it isn't quite up to sts ;)
