OR is this question right out there with the "are you ready for christmas"? thread that I started ages ago:)
I was just wondering if anyone as any goals set.I don't as of yet but I just bought my Oxygen mag yesterday and the women on the cover looks great! Even DH said that she probably as the prefect body. So, I am not sure what fitness goals I will set but I think I may set some other personnal goals as well...Im sure I need to improve somehow:) Or so they tell me!:7

haven't though of a goal for the new year. i wanted to be something non-fitness. like learning a new way to handle stress and learning to not react to every little thing that goes wrong. the past few months i have lost myself with the events of viola and my father being ill now, that i let stress eat my alive, despite putting on a happy face. its time to start dealing with feelings and reacting in a productive manner.

if anything for fitness its to try to do 3 runs a week or increase the distance by 1-2 miles. but fitness doesn't seem to be a problem for me. eating a little bit so i guess there is something fitness to work on but i think, again, that ties into the dealing with stress thing.

We are expecting our 6th child in early January, so my goal for the year is to get my body back into pre pregnancy condition and then some. My 20 year class reunion is this summer, so that should motivate me a little.

My big challenge is to do this without injuring myself. I tend to push myself much harder than my poor body can handle--so I must force myself to get back into shape GRADUALLY.

I am starting PX90 in January, so that's something. As for non-fitness, I need to get my writing career going again, so my #1 goal is to sell the screenplay I finished recently. I'm currently shopping it around via my old contacts.

Sparrow,

That's so exciting!!! Oh, I really wish you my very best for a successful career as a writer. I'll be first in line to see the movie!! If you ever write a novel, I'll expect an autographed copy;)

Thanks Michele! I'll be sure to send a copy :D. you know, I'm the perfect example of someone afraid of success. I worked for a number of years to "make it" in television. One year, I got my break, and actually worked three projects for Disney. I got so scared that it might actually happen for me that I turned and ran as fast as I could, rather than riding the scary wave to the top! I'm so mad at myself for that! So, my goal is to put that demon to rest by embracing success. :)

WOW maggie!! congratulations! baby #6, that is amazing. YOU are amazing! i suspect your "poor body" can handle a lot more than you think :)

good for you, and best wishes for your new baby.

Sparrow, I hope you get to sell your screenplay for big $$$. I'd love to watch it and tell my friends that a Catheite envisioned the whole deal.:)

I haven't thought about any goals. All I want for next year is for my son to transition well from the end of therapy and into the rest of his life. I'd also want to see him adjust wonderfully to kindergarten in a new school. That's it. If WE can get those two things going, THEN I can think of goals for myself.

Wow maggie, that's fantastic! What age and flavors are the other 5, if you don't mind the question? I don't plan to have kids but if I did I think I'd want a big family! All or nothing, that's me!! :D
