Yes that can be a symptom of a food intolerance. Sometimes people say "allergy" and that means that gives you hives, or whatever, an immediate response. Sometimes you have a food sensitivity/ intolerance which is often wheat (gluten), dairy, or corn, soy, peanuts, eggs are also common. I have a son (5) who is SENSITIVE (not allergic) to gluten and dairy, also has a problem with peanuts and eggs.
There is a test you can run, it is an IgG test NOT an IgE test (IgE test is a typical allergic response, IgG test is a delayed reaction). We ran one for my son, it was 96 foods, it was about $200. Your insurance may cover the one for gluten only. Or you can do a trial food elimination. Problem is we never would have suspected eggs and peanuts. Often, it is what you crave. That was true in my son's case.
My son is not celiac but did have some behavioral symptoms and some minor gastric ones. Food can have a huge impact on your system.
Hope this helps.
