<--has heard lots of great things about the place at the forum here and can't wait to check it out!

Cath :)

<-- will share <--'s Whole Food strategy with Cath and all who read this:
Deli/Bakery:
They have a ton of bulk foods as well as a full service deli/bakery where everything is premade. They list ingredients in each dish and you can request a sample of anything you like. USE THIS OPTION- it's a way to get something free while you're there, LOL. It also can save you from being miserable with something you thought would be tasty. There are some self-serve areas that have little white cups nearby- those are for the samples. You can ask for however much you want- they don't have to fill the containers all the way, as it is all sold by weight.
Produce: Their produce always looks fabulous in the store, and they have a ton of different things you may not have ever seen. It's fun to experiment! WARNING though: do not buy any of the produce they keep outside the doors- they don't seem to do a wonderful job of protecting that stuff, and it always seems to go bad quickly. You should not bet your produce will last as long from Whole Foods as it would from a regular store- it looks really good because it's pretty much ready to eat!
Bulk Foods: IMO, the best value around. I like the option to buy as little of something as you want!
Packaged/Frozen foods: Again, I prefer the cost at Trader Joe's to Whole Foods, with the notable exception of Larabars. They're cheaper at Whole Foods when they're on sale. Things like soymilk, you can probably find cheaper elsewhere.
Allow for a lot of time there, since they have so many different products it's just plain fun to go see. Have fun!!!
<-- thinks <-- should keep that .02 in check, lol!!!

<---ooooooohhhhhhh! Sounds like fun! Thanks so much for the info Amy!:)
<---is a bigtime "wanderer" in grocery stores so <--will need a big ol' block of time to visit Whole Foods :)
