I have tried and tried to get an answer. For those of u that have completed STS how was it ???? I am a cardio FREAK and not much on weights, only because in my mind ( which i know is wrong ) cardio is the only way to get weight off. When i do Cathe DVD's i currently lift 15pds for biceps so i know i can lift i just don't. The main thing i am worried about is not have a rack/spotter. Is this nessasary ?? Or a pull up bar ?? Are there other moves i can do ????

oh also my weight goes up and down mainly due to the fact that i used to get in 10 cardio workouts a week and now with a new job i am down to 6-7. Any help would be great !!! thanks !

For me, lifting weights is what is responsible for keeping my weight down, and actually for making me look leaner than ever. Cardio is not the only necessity when it comes to really being fit and lean. You could do 4-5 cardio workouts a week and STS on alternating days as Cathe suggests, and you will see results you never thought possible. A spotter and a squat rack are not absolutely necessary, but I think a squat rack is helpful for Meso 3.

I absolutely LOVE STS and it has taken me to a new level of fitness. I will be doing it again in a month or so. Weights are the ANSWER to a better, leaner, stronger, healthier body.

Thank U soooooo much for the advise !!!! I have asked Cathe and i know she thinks its great and i just wanted an outsiders opinion ! BUT...i own almost all of her DVD's and i have never been disappointed !!!

I agree with Saturn. I LOVE STS. I have never seen such definition in my body than I'm seeing with STS. However, it's not the lifting that makes me lean. It's the cardio. My body requires cardio. But it's the lifting that makes it all show up.

I also agree that the rack really is needed for meso 3 unless you select the plyo legs option over the strength option. Or you could just use a lighter barbell so you can lift it over your head but it won't be as big a challenge for the legs and booty.

STS is my favorite and meso 2 is my favorite of the 3 mesos.

I don't really think you'll need the squat rack, as being that you're a cardio-lover, you'll prefer the Plyo workouts anyway. Unless you're looking for a lot of definition in your legs, the Plyo version of the workouts will be perfect for you. Boy do they get your heart rate going!!

I have exactly one week to go and I will be done with my six-month STS rotation. I started in Feb. and did not miss one single STS workout.

I LOVE STS!!!!

Let me start by saying that while I've always enjoyed lifting, I'd consider myself a 'cardio' girl. I would often have to psych myself up for weights; but never for cardio. I was worried that by only doing cardio 3x's a week I'd really miss it (I decided to do the 3 days of STS and 3 days of cardio, like Cathe and SNM suggested). Well, I like STS soooo much, that I would actually miss it when it was a 'cardio' day. Also, STS was so physically demanding that I don't think I could have handled much more cardio. I know several Cathletes who did cardio 4-6x's a week with STS, but I was just too tuckered out!!

In fact, I like STS so much that when my 6-month rotation is over, I plan on taking a recovery (no weights) week, and then going back to meso 1.

STS is one of the best fitness purchases I've ever made. I'd put it right up there with my step and my DVD player.

I agree- you definitely will not regret your purchase. Give us your feedback once you begin STS.
