Do I really need extra risers for High Step??

Hello there. I'm thinking of getting a High Step, since Cathe uses it in so many of her workouts. I'm trying to figure out whether I can get away with just ordering the High Step "topper" and using my 4 risers, or if I should shell out the extra cash for extra risers. Anyone think having only 4 risers won't be enough to get the most out of the workouts where the High Step is used? I appreciate any input.

Hi there:

Cathe and crew use 5 risers for most high step leg presses--and all of them other than Rhonda are 5'1"-5'2". I was using 4 for awhile, because that's all I had, but I found using 5 or 6 (at 5'6") has made a difference and really is what I should be using.

I would go ahead and buy them now.

Thing is, once you start working out you will want to challenge yourself more and I bet anything that sooner rather than later you will end up buying them anyway.

OK, I'm convinced. I'm going to order the topper and risers. (Actually, I found it on Samclub.com -- topper with 4 risers -- for $46, so it's not much more money than buying the topper alone anyway.) Thanks for your help!

Oops. I meant samsclub.com, not samclub.com. It's actually $59 if you add in the shipping and sales tax, but still a lot cheaper!

Hi Deborah. I don't know if you purchased the high step yet from sam's club, but I just wanted to let you know that I got mine from Target.com for $49.99.

Also, if you use this coupon for 10% off it is still about $52 including tax and shipping.

This set comes with a Cathe DVD and I wasn't sure if the sam's one did or not.

In any case, I hope you enjoy your high step.
