Do Cathe's workouts burn fat?

I'm wondering because when I do the step aerobic based workouts, my heart rate goes above, what I gather is, my optimal fat burning zone. Does this mean I will be burning calories, but not from body fat? I'm confused! :-(

Yes, think of it as calories in calories out. And it has been studied and proven that interval work-outs are especially effective in getting a person into shape.
