do all preorderers get the surprise?

Maybe, BUT they didn't have to shell out the money up front! That's a difference.

Cathe said it was for people who preordered and stuck with the preorder. Cathe recommends CK Sales and whatever their policy is insofar as taking the money is not relevant. The "gift" is for people who preordered and did not bail. I know there are several Canadians who fit that bill.

RE: My Attitude About Cathe's Preorder Surprise

Thanks hedygs from a slightly disappointed but still hopeful loyal Canadian fan. Either way I'm okay with it, as they say 'my cup runneth over'. Who am I to want more from Cathe when she has already given me so much:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

RE: My Attitude About Cathe's Preorder Surprise

While that fact stated is true in monetary terms I think
it is lacking in fairness for sure.

I have been a Cathe fan since 1995, have all of the work outs
including the beginer ones. Couldn't help myself ;)
I ordered from collage video, thats how I found Cathe.
Then I ordered from Step n Motion 13 more tapes, all they had.

I have ordered Cathe work outs before this site existed.

CK Sales is a blessing for all Canadians and others to order from
it saves money exchange hassel and the customs nightmare.
They take your credit card # but don't charge untill they ship.
If I had my way my card would have been charged upon pre-order.

It hurts that we might be forgotten, for I have always been
nothing but Loyal. Brigitte;(

RE: My Attitude About Cathe's Preorder Surprise

What I don't understand is why those that waited a year would begrudge others the free gift IF it were sent to them. Maybe someone pre-ordered a month ago. That's still a pre-order.

Suppose every single pre-order got the free gift? So? Seems to me that everyone ought to be happy for everyone else. It shouldn't be a "I got one and you didn't because you didn't wait long enough" deal.

Be happy for yourself and for others too.

I think some of the disappointment expressed here may be a bit premature. I don't recall Cathe saying the surprise gift was limited to those who ordered directly from her. You just may be surprised! But won't you feel bad if you complained and then found a gift in your package;)

RE: My Attitude About Cathe's Preorder Surprise

A thank you gift is a gesture of appreciation. There was a long delay in the filming of these workouts due to Cathe's injury. Despite the uncertainty, many of Cathe's customers opted to hold on to their pre-oders at a time when others were canceling. I didn't read anything more into this gesture. This was an unusual situation, I'll trust Cathe to make the decision.

CK Sales is a vendor of Cathe's products. I doubt that SNM knows who ordered or when they ordered. I don't even know when CK Sales actually placed their order with SNM, it could have been only after the presale ended. If CK sales wants to give an appreciation gift to their customers, I think that would be great! CK Sales does not charge up front so that is an incentive to many people.

there was no monetary involvement like there was with SNM.... with ck sales... WHY would you cancel.... you hadn't given any money yet... heck... now that you've seen the clips you could still cancel with no money changing hands.... whereas with SNM buyers... they've had our money interest free for over a year!

Not you desertbriez... I was talking about when the one poster basically said that now you've learned your lesson: preorder.

I can absolutely understand feeling upset if you preordered early and did not get the gift - regardless. I'm sorry if that happens to anyone. I do not see the need to say that one person deserves the gift more than others. Just because the CK sales people did not have to front money, doesn't mean that they would not have given the chance. Let's not get petty here people. This is a good thing Cathe is doing for us. Let's enjoy it.

By the way, I ordered in August and totally do not think I will or even should get the gift. I do hope there is a purchase option, though as it sounds wonderful!

oh.... sorry then.... these posts get confusing sometimes!!!!!

i kinda agree with this..... cuz we don't know what the cut off was... i know i've offered SPECULATION.... but only cathe and company knows!

all pre-orders could very well be getting the dvd's.... including ck sales... just for a public relations coup! (spelling)

I phone CK Sales the momment I find out there is a pre-sale,
or shortly there after, they are always on the ball.

They have pre-order phases just like this site. They follow
Cathe rules to a T as far as I've seen.

I never changed my order ever, I just wouldn't.

I can understand the voices of those who were charged upfront,
but like I already said CK Sales takes your # but doesn't charge untill they ship. I never thought that would ever be a negative.
I look forward to the new work outs, nothing will take away from
that.
But a voice for those Loyal Canadian fans needed to be heard :)
Cheers every one, here's to you all getting thr work outs soonsest
:) Brigitte

That may be part of the problem. Maybe CK Sales doesn't want to assume responsibility for any potential tariffs? They are a vendor, it would be their decision not Cathe's. Maybe CK Sales' customers will get the gift after all.

I don't care who gets the free gift. I just want mine! :)

Jeanne you are so sweet. I agree with you but so many sadly do not. I have never seen so many "I don't think you should get the "gift" posts because you weren't "Loyal" enough.

Sad people.
