Disaster averted!

My heart beat faster in sympathy just reading that story, LauraMax. I can't even count the times I've left my purse in various places, but always got it back (except when I left my wallet some place in Arkansas or Tennessee on a cross-country trip).

Just last month I left my purse in a bathroom at the New York Public Library. I went back and it was gone! So we went to ask the guards, and sure enough one of the library workers had found it and turned it in, so we had to wait for someone to bring it from the office. The worst part is, I'd left it in a staff bathroom we shouldn't technically be using, but our tour guide had let us in. So I was worried about getting her in trouble when I had to go to the guards about the purse. So embarrassing to do that while on a tour. Luckily the purse was fine and had everything in it. Whew.

Took your mind off the whole "is my youth gone?" thing didn't it? Just thinkin maybe it was one of those "Universe things" that occur when one starts feeling shall we say "I am not perfect" deals? Happens to me quite a bit, makes me thankful for everything afterwards. Thank god you and Kate were reunited. You are a beautiful woman Laura, really you are, stop looking back so you can look forward-just advice I give myself every now and then, no harm meant. You know what I mean.:)

I do know what you mean & even though I know you're right, I don't think I'll ever stop worrying about my appearance. How shallow am I? :p Sometimes I even think about taking down all my pics in the house so I don't have to see how cute I used to be! x(

OMG! I was so getting that sickening clammy feeling as I read your post. I can't tell you the number of times I have done that, and a Kate Spade to boot! I'm really glad it was waiting for you when you got there:)

Oh, Laura, I just saw the word "Kings" and had a major jealousy pang. How I miss Kings from my NJ days! I wish we could have a Kings in Brooklyn Heights.

SOOO glad you found your purse!
