Digestive Problems

Hey everyone! Happy Holidays! Just a quick question...I have been having some GI problems around my exercise time. I am not exactly sure why. It could be from several sources--too much training, the food I am eating, or maybe I am coming down with something. Anyways, I was wondering what you all ate (if anything) before working out with Cathe. I typically am a morning exerciser, but my trainer/nutritionist suggested that I move to afternoons b/c of my GI problems. He is going to make something up for me, but I was thinking maybe a protein shake and some fruit (apple, grapefruit, strawberries). Something light. THanks!

Hmmm, Kristen - I have digestive problems, but they're due to the foods I eat, usually, not the time. I found out I'm highly allergic to certain foods (though it just started a couple years ago). Could be that you're maybe mildly allergic to something? I had a blood test that was pretty simple.

If I workout early, like 5 or 6, I don't eat. But if it gets later, especially after 8, I go ahead and eat a bowl of Kashi Go Lean with soy milk. I'll bet a protein shake, especially if it was non-dairy, would be a great way to go!
