Did Imax 2 (tried)

I just tried to do Imax 2 for the first time. How do you keep up? I couldn't get the steps and it was frustrating. This is the first step workout I have tried to do with Cathe, I just recently got all her DVD's. Anyone have any suggestions? It looks like so much fun if only I could get the steps down.

Hi Sabrina :) Don't give up...it IS SO much fun! :) If I can do it, anyone can! lol...seriously, about a year ago I couldn't even imagine attempting step (though I wanted to). I started out with Mega Step Blast and then bought the Imax2/C&W CD...did C&W a few times until I got the hang of it (another fun one), and then jumped into doing the first 5 intervals of Imax2, then the second, until I finally did the entire workout...and it still took time to get ALL the moves down...but I finally did and just love it...have even gotten Step Blast down now, too, and love it as well. Anway, just take your time...learn it in chunks of time...that's really what I did...and eventually it all starts to come together...be patient with yourself...when it finally clicks you'll LOVE it! :) Good luck!

Pratice and patience. I was never able to do it all the way thru, without rewinding to catch the steps ( I have the VHS ), until my childern went back to school and it was perfectly quiet in the house. Keep at it and one day soon you will surprise yourself by getting the steps right and landing on the right foot/side! :)

This is my favorite workout!! Don't try it all at once. Just practice one segment at a time! I did this with Rhythmic Step. I just practiced one segment at a time and once I had it down, I'd move on to the next.

I am addicted to IMAX2!!! This workout is FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

It took me a WHOLE MONTH to learn it well enough to enjoy it completely. I alternated IMAX2 and Cardio & Weights until I learned the coreography.

For IMAX2, I did sections 1-3 for a week; then I did sections 1-6 for a week...and so on until I was doing the whole thing. I thought of it as a special project, a real challenge.

It's totally worth the effort. You won't be sorry! :)

It is the first one of Cathe's cardios I did, too. I thought I was losing my mind! Did people really keep up with this?

But, slowly but surely I am getting all the way there. I still prefer a run for cardio, but I was determined to get this down. I still mess up the harder parts (LOL--it ALL feels like harder parts at first, doesn't it?)

Don't worry that not keeping up means you are not getting a workout. I don't care what anyone says, while I was klutzing all aorund trying to learn the steps, I was SWEATING. :+
