I was kind of "half watching," but got the main points.
The CTU was able to track the terrorist woman and her son to a hotel, but the son had gone to a nearby hospital, where his uncle worked (mother's brother), to get pain pills for mom. Jack and the CTU gang captured the mom (though she almost shot herself before they did, because she didn't want to be captured alive). (Some other guy that met up with Jack outside the hotel didn't want Tony around and didn't trust him, but Jack told him *he* wanted Tony there).
Meanwhile, Berouz (the son) finds his uncle at the hospital, and asks him for pain pills, telling him that mom has back pain and can't contact her regular doctor. Uncle doesn't know about the terrorist activity, and calls dad to find out what's going on because Berouz is "acting strange." Dad says Berouz has been taking drugs, and asks uncle to keep him from leaving.
Back at the hotel, Jack finds out who mom is from her fingerprints, and the CTU gets a hold of a tape of a phone conversation (that some gov't agency had marked as suspicious): the call between Berouz and his mother, when Berouz informed her that dad had tried to have him killed. Jack uses this info to get mom to make a deal to save her son (from her husband,, and from prosecution: the president signs a pardon for Berouz, but tells one of his aids to make the pardon so that it can be rescinded). Mom agrees to tell where the deactivation device is for the nuclear plant meltdown (by the way, one power plant has already reached meltdown, and residents are being evacuated. The heavy guy who works as a computer expert at CTU has a handicapped mother--in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank--in the area and she has not been able to leave. He tries to get help at CTU--asking Jack's girlfriend to help convince the national guard to send someone for her. When that doesn't pan out, he is going to leave himself, but the head of CTU tells him it's too late for his mother, and he could help save thousands of others. When she asks him what his mother would want him to do, he says "stay and help" and gives up on helping mom.)
Dad shows up at the hospital and captures Berouz. He is about to shoot him in the head, but Berouz says Mom will tell everything if he is killed. Jack and the gang arrive and chase dad and captive Berouz through the hospital. At the end, they are trapped in the basment. Mom says dad will stay there until it is too late, and she won't help them deactivate the device until Berouz is safe. She says she believes in her cause and will be happy to see the power plants melt down. The episode ends on a standoff.
