Desperate Housewives?????

I am embarassed to say this, but I think I am getting addicted to this show!! I hate watching any TV show regularly...hate the upset it causes in my life, but I am finding that Sunday 8pm is not too big of an upset.

Anyone else liking this fresh new show? Sadly, I think it appeals to the neurotic side in all of us?:)
 
Hi Janice!! Yup Im addicted too:) Did you see these ladies on the Oprah show yesterday? I am also addicted to "Lost" on Wednesday night at 8:00 pm eastern time.
 
Me too. I'm addicted to Survivor and The Apprentice. I'm also still addicted to Friends as I own all the seasons available on DVD and I still watch them. The next season comes out next month and then only 2 more left to collect.
 
Desperate Housewives and Lost are my two newest addictions! Sadly I am making up for lost time as far as TV goes... I never had time to get my fix of brain candy while in grad school. :)
 
I like Desperate Housewives and Lost also. Just think of what they could come up with if they combined the premises of the two shows!

One question: just how long can the premise of "lost" go on? They have to eventually reveal what the "monster" is on the island.
 
Would someone please tell me what happened on Desperate Housewives last week? I only recorded the first half hour of the show because stupid me thought it was only on from 9-9:30! I haven't watched the half hour I recorded because I figured what's the use!
 
They're repeating last week's episode on Saturday night, check your local listings!!

I rarely watch TV but I like this show alot for some crazy reason. I do Tivo it so I'm not bogged down at any particular time to watch it.

YES! I saw the first week and missed last week - but I loved it. It's about time tv started putting good shows on again. Hopefully the reality crap is on its way out.
 
I seriously dig Lost as well. Although, I found myself laughing quite hysterically last week when the blonde jerk guy shot the guy who was dying from the infection. If anyone ever say Austin Powers, it was just too much like when Doctor Evil tried to kill Mustafa.

My favorite show is Smallville, though. Between the Clark men and Lex Luthar, I get a whole week's worth of "eye candy". Nice! :9

I love this show, I love how it is narrated and the characters are too funny..its something new, I've kinda lost interest in Lost..it started out really well and it just seemed to stagnant (my opinion) I find I just cant keep focus on the show but have it on anyway because I love Matthew Fox and I am hoping it will get intersting again!!!
 
Yep, count me in. Actually the only night time shows I've watched for years have been on HBO. Most network TV sucks IMO.

I think the success of Desperate Housewives is similar to the success of Sex in the City (although the show isn't nearly as good). It's the fact that there's a little bit of each character in all of us.

On last week's show, the Terri Hatcher character had dinner w/the hot plumber & the blonde bimbo. She'd originally invited the guy over for takeout & he said come to my place, I'll cook, & of course the blonde managed to weasel herself an invite. So Terri Hatcher's trying to get the guy's dog to like her & she put some food behind her ears, resulting in the dog swallowing her earring & going to the doggie emergency room. Fortunately the pooch was OK.
 
Terri Hatcher is a trip in this show! Each week something funny happens to her!

PS I'm hoping to see more of Nicolette Sheridan (who plays the blonde bimbo)in upcoming episodes! I always liked her and admire her physique! She is really FIT!
 
This show is ONE of my guilty pleasures. Teri Hatcher is great... I LMAO when she locked herself out of the house. Can you believe Bree at the "dinner party"? Can't imagine embarrassing my DH like that.

Hey, why is it "babysitting" when a father carries out his paternal repsonsibilities? I enjoy harrassing male friends when they "babysit" their own children. :)

I hope we see more of Nicolette Sheridan too. I have always admired her physique too!

Unfortunately, Terri's character is the one I most identify with. ;( I would've enjoyed the locked out of the house thing too if I hadn't already seen it like a thousand times in their ads. I hate when they give away all the best stuff in commercials.

Lord that Brie is something else. I'd divorce her too. She's just anal retentiveness out of control.
 
Mmm, no, I don't watch Desperate House Wives, but Lost, we're a huge fan of around here. I'm having difficulty because it's on at the same time as Smallville, and I love that show too.
DHW just doesn't hit a big note on dh's list of things that he has to see, so we are skipping it. TV is something that we watch together if we watch it. So, we try to agree on what it is that we want to watch.

I agree, I wished they'd leave out the BEST parts featured in the commercials! It can be a killjoy a bit to me but I understand they have to make more people interested and want to tune in!
(I'm also one of those people who prefers not to see movie trailers in their entirety-just bits and pieces at the movies or on commercials works for me) I won't even go into the bathroom after a movie due to the fear that someone will give something away from something I want to see) How crazy is that?

PS Howabout the conniving kid on desperate houswives-OMG too funny!
