depressed... ready to binge

I'm so close to eating every sweet thing I can find in the house. My DH brought home a box of my favorite chocolates from Zurich last night, and I didn't eat one, wanting to wait until Friday night. Now, I'm, well, you get the picture. I'm trying to remain in control.

I could have wrote your post on monday...had a very sad/depressing day...Im sure it was hormonal! Can't really help with the situation though because I ended up eating icecream and some cookies .

Im sorry your sad,i hope you feel better soon and enjoy those chocolates on friday!!!

I am so sorry that you are depressed! You know, the best thing for depression is some exercise!! Do 50 jumping jacks before you want to binge on anything!! Then, see how you feel a few minutes afterwards. If you still want something, have something and some tea!

Hang in there! You are stronger than you know!

Can you have just one or two pieces now and save the rest for Friday? I know when I tell myself I cannot have something, I want it all the more.

Enjoy one treat, and move on...go workout, take a walk, call someone who makes you laugh.:) Thats what I do!

On Valentine's day some sweet guy at work, whom I didn't even know (too young, no way), brought me a gift bag with a stuffed white teddy bear, a card, and a giftwrapped half pound box of chocolates. I took them home where they all mysteriously disappeared by the end of the next afternoon... and I live alone! But it was cool because I went right back to working out and eating fruit in lieu of sweets and everything was fine. You didn't go buy them so you weren't being willfully bad. Sometimes, a fabulous box of chocolates just falls in your lap, like a gift from Heaven. How often does THAT happen? So go for it! But when they're gone, get back down to business and tell yourself you already had your big binge and that's the end of it... for a long time. Bad behavior once in a blue is human nature. I didn't gain a pound from the experience because I didn't let my little blessing become a big problem - and that, I'm finding, is the secret. Of course, now I'm thinking how nice a little bon bon would be. Time to hit the shower.

Thanks, guys. I actually went downstairs and worked out to Step Heaven (my current favorite step, so fun), then did GS Back, and BM2 abs. Now it's time for me to hit the shower, too, and I do feel better now. Thank goodness for those exercise endorphins! They're awesome. I told me DDs to leave that box of candy alone... Friday is only two days away!
