Dental xrays and Pregnancy

I am just curious to know what any of your thoughts are about the safety of having dental xrays during pregnancy. I am not pregnant for sure but I could be and have an appointment this week. There is a lot of contradictory information out there about this.

my de4ntist told me I was due for routine xrays, but he would rather wait until after the pregnancy. I think if it's a very pressing dental problem, some dentists might do it.

My FIL is a dentist, and he says to just skip it. Robin.

We'd have you skip it too

I work in a dental office and when there is a chance that you might be pregnant, we skip it. It's not critical, especially if they are just routine x-rays...they'll wait.

Hi Harborprk! My dentist also said to skip the routine x-rays until after the baby is born.
