Dell Computer restore

Just so any of you know.
And don't have top pay tech
Dell computers no longer have a restore cd with them.
Really dumb.

I had to wipe this one out last night.
It is located on the hard drive on a partition.
To get to it on boot section hit F11 and control key at the same time.
I lost a dll file and this stupid thing wouldn't run, so it is off to redo the whole thing.
If you ever have to wipe that boy out and you have a Dell.
They are great when working, but when something acts up ooooh!!!!

We have a Dell laptop computer and it has NO restore disc BUT you are supposed to make it from the computer it self, they include the restore disc on your computer and once you make that disc you can't make another disc. So make sure if you get a Dell you make that disc right away and store it in a safe place because that is the only one you get, crazy I think, I have an older Dell so I have the restore disc,

Reasons for no restore disk.

Computer owners quite often restore their computer and then complain that their programs and data have been wiped out. Thats just what a restore does.

In earlier days of home computing people backed their computer so they could restore on their own, all their data and the operating system.

So see if that laptop has a "make your own restore" utility, do it early and if possible often.
