Delayed soreness

I'm wondering what I did wrong.

I started the CTX rotation last Sunday and today is day six! Whoopee! :-jumpy This has been the toughest rotation I've ever done and I'm loving it. I did Power Circuit on Monday which is Back workout and All Step on Tuesday which is Shoulder work. Well both were really tough and I was surprised that I was not sore the following days. But this morning I woke up with such tightness and soreness in the shoulder blade upper back area. Yowza! :-wow

Now is this DOMS from Back or Shoulder work? And if so, why has it taken 3 or 4 days to attack? I mean that's quite a long time even for Delayed Onset isn't it? :-hmmm

I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same thing happen and if so, what did you do about it?

BTW Cathe, what I love the most about these new workouts is how you work the muscles to fatigue. I don't think I've ever seen a workout video that does that. LOVE IT! Thanks so much!! :7

Hi Becky! The soreness that you are experiencing can be due to the accumulation of all the workouts. For instance, after the first couple of workouts, your back and shoulders may not have been sore, but after using the remaining tapes (which also called upon your back and shoulders muscles indirectly), these pre-fatigued muscles met their match!

You want to know something silly? I just finished Kickbox CTX about 10 minutes ago. And in the middle of it, it occured to me that I did 10,10,10 yesterday and there is quite a bit of kickboxing in that. How silly of me to forget. :-rollen I'm sure that contributed plenty to this soreness.

I gotta say though that Kickbox is the toughest of all six. Although it could be that today was the last day of the rotation and I'm just zonked out. :-tired But I kept wanting to give up. And I'm amazed at your biceps! :-wow 12 pound dumbbells! I strive to do that one day.
