Deflated balloon?

Hi all,
I'm 5 weeks post partum at this point. I'm very proud to say that everything is back to normal...almost. My belly is flat, and I even have muscle tone back. The only thing that hasn't snapped back to normal is the skin around my belly button.
That still looks like a deflated balloon.

It's strange, it's flat, there's no pooch or anything like that. It's actually firm when I stand up. But it still is all wrinkly.

Will this go away? When?
Or is this a permanent "trophy" from having my son?

It will probably take longer for your skin to return to normal. Everybody is different, and I was told it took nine months to get that way, it could take a year to get back to 'normal'. My PS told me to give it six months after birth, because of skin changing (That was when I first began researching an abdominoplasty)
My entire stomach looked like a deflated balloon, after three kids!! I had that little sag above my belly button, but I had major rolls under and had to have that fixed surgically. Hope I helped a little.

I think my midsection took the better part of a year to get back to "normal." I wasn't fit, though, before or during my pregnancy. Definitely won't make that mistake again!
