Will a tan, mocha colored carpet look ok with dark brown leather sofas? For the past 4 years we have had a sage colored carpet wish I like but I'm tired and bored with it. With 6 children and in home daycare I thought the mocha, specs of tan, carpet would be ideal when you have a small high traffic area living room and trying to hide spots and everyday wear. Thanks!

I agree with Carmen829, it's a great combo! In our front room we have lighter brown carpets and dark brown couches. I bought orange and mauve throw pillows for the couches for some color, and I love how it all looks together. Plus brown is sooooo forgiving of spills, so I'm sure you'll be glad to have your new carpet with all that activity going on in your house.
We had a similar color scheme before and it is very versatile. We painted our walls a very subtle light blue/gray and it looked great! Was very chic, different than your more common, golds and burgundys.

If you go for a blue, I found much more luck searching in the "gray" section of paint samples. All the blues, even the ones that appeared blue/gray still ended up looking like a baby nursery on the living room walls!
