Dec 21 Tues

Hi Judy.....nice to have you chime in! And Happy Birthday!!!! I did Imax Extreme yesterday but only about 40 minutes, because I needed to add some lifting! I love that workout!!!

Katie...I refer to an easy run as not sprinting, intervals or hill repeats...and 5 miles is ALOT easier than 20! I know though that 5 miles is tough for someone just beginning to run...or someone that doesn't run...this is my easy two weeks before the marathon...:)..Don't you just love PUB...

Jennifit1...welcome and what a great workout!

Chewy15...Welcome too....and good luck with the Gauntlet, its a good one. In fact all of the Terminator workouts are good...just ask Mariángeles :+

Got all my shopping done. Not even alot of crazies out today... :D ...Carole

Good Evening Everyone! Nice to see so many posting, Happy Birthday Judy, IMAX Xtreme is awesome!!!

I feel like I've worked out all day today!:p I'm the third person to post doing 10-10-10 cardio (the two Laurie's do the same workout 2 days in a row.....hmmmm, what's up with that:) ) I tagged on CTX powercircuits cardio and did the step circuits fastforwading through weights, that was some good fun cardio!!! Then I did PUB pyramid up with heavy weights which I later regretted. I saw clients (I'm a Registered Massage Therapist) today and got a late booking from a regular, a 6'4" hockey player who played this morning and booked 90 minute deep tissue massage. Boy I worked hard and my arms are like spaghetti!!!

Carole, I'm going to take a stab at the Gumbo Day, my guess is that it's chilly, the perfect day to tuck into a big bowl of hot gumbo!! :) I'm hoping Jes will come back and let us know, I'm curious too. How was that massage!!??

Lisa, that sucks big time about your VCR and tape!! I just replaced a 16 year old VCR and was amazed at how cheap, light and fast they are.

Annette, I hear you about the baking, I love to bake at Christmas and was thrilled to come home from work today to the smell of chocolate macaroons courtesy of my Kiddos. I just made some 'Nutted Gumdrop Bars' and hope that they taste as good as they smell! Good luck shoe shopping:)

Sandra, RS and SS!! Fun workout!
Driving from Banff to Jasper was amazing, you are blessed to be so close (makes up for some of the not so pleasant Edmonchuck factors):). Who wouldn't love to live in a place like Rocky Mountain House, just the name makes me want to run for a Neil Young CD crack open a brew and sit back and enjoy some Aurora Borealis :7.
I was so excited to see Lake Louise when we were there, we parked and I trekked over and was dismayed but bemused that I hadn't figured it out for myself......the darn lake was frozen solid. Being the Ontarion that I am I thought "what's wrong with these people, a perfectly frozen lake and no fishing huts!!!!!" :+ :p :+
So far as Elizabeth goes, Christmas break is the perfect opportunity for her to regroup. She's grounded until January 1st and then I guess I'll see if she is going to make a break from this group. I can't forbid her from seeing them, that never works. I know she'll come through, her VP gave her a great pep talk that she could go to any university she wants (Queens Please!!!) if she maintains her marks for the next 2 years. Parenting just never gets easier does it? Thanks for asking.

Oops, I did it again, I take too long to post, got to go feed the starving children, AGAIN!!!!:)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Laurie

Ciao Tutti!

Sandra aka 'Fiddlefit' - when I do the step portion of MIC, I usually do a warmup from one of my dvds: either IM2, or SB, and then I switch over to the MIC step portion.

Today my energy levels were back to normal, but my son was up with an ear infection so an early morning trip to the pediatrician replaced my plans for ME. Then after a trip to the drug store for the meds, there was no time for my workout as it was time to go to work. I hate missing workouts and I'm one of those who has to workout in the morning on an empty stomach, or it just doesn't happen.

So, tomorrow I'm feeling a date with IM2 is what I need. Oh yeah!

Oh Hell! I made it. (panting) it's 6:07 and "gumbo day" has seen no fatalities(unless you count shrimp and crab }( ) Tomorrow it gets eaten but for those of you who don't know, it's better on the 2nd day! Here's the "lowdown" ....

Gumbo is NOT SUPPOSED to take all day, but when my GM is involved it does. She bought the shrimp already cleaned and de-veined, but b/c she is neurotic, she (me)has to wash them AGAIN. Individually!!!!! (sigh) All the veggies (celery, green onion, white onion, garlic, parsley all have to be washed(with soap) and rinsed repeatedly. even the canned diced tomatoes have to be put in a bowl and inspected for weird things that only exist in her mind.... and rinsed. for some reason, she accounts all of her "anal-ness" to surviving The Great Depression. i give up! it is done, i survived, it tastes great and she is happy so WHATEVER!!!!x(

You all had fabulous workouts today! by some miracle, i still (at this moment) have the energy for mine, so when i am through rambling, i have plans to conquer it next.

Welcome to the newcomers!

Happy birthday!

Sorry for those of you with sick children :-(

Yes i did get all 7 acres mowed and i inhaled half of it b/c of the damn wind.:* thank you very much ! Sandy, you are more than welcome to assist any time you feel the urge.

BTW...here's something to crack up over...our septic tank sprinklers went off while i was mowing come to think of it.... b/t that, getting attacked by a bee and getting dirt in all of my orifaces(sp?) i had one hell of a day!

Carole...your "easy run" sounds killer!!!! last time i ran i was 10 on roller skates being pulled mach speed by my boxer dog }( You Go Girl!

Glad I make you smile Sandra!

i'm off to pump some iron while i'm still sober!

jes

Okay, so that's what Gumbo day is, I got hungry just reading about it jes! Sounds labour intensive especially with the added steps, I bet it'll be delish!! You've had quite a day enjoy your lifting and well deserved beverage(s)!

Merry Christmas
Laurie:)

Hi gals:

Still fighting that virus, so listened to my body and just did a quick yoga workout today. But, oh joy, I'm now off until January 3rd!!! Lot's of sleeping in and good workouts!

Sandra: wow you snowshoed in school, who knew!

Jes: I was born in the south and have a stepmom who is a great southern chef. Your gumbo sounds delicious.

Back to a good workout tomorrow.

PS. so far I've received $175 in gift cards from places I could care less about. If I could only turn those into Cathe DVDs!:D

Ok...i got through upper body, but cardio got the brush off...i just had to confess! my feet are killing me from standing all day and it just isn't in me, but in the immortal words of Scarlett O'Hara, "I'll think about that tomorrow!"

I was just kidding about the drinking! i have to have some restraint! But thank you for the support anyway!

Ya'll are great!

jes:p

Hey Sandra!! Don't even worry about it, this week is just plain NUTS!! I will probably follow something from your previous rotations, I've been printing most of them out and I plan on buying a binder to keep them in:7 :) !! Your rotations really are the best!! Yes, I'm glad I finished IMAX2, I felt so accomplished and proud:+ :7 !! As for IMAX3, I'm just hoping we are still alive after attempting it for the first time}( }( !!

TOmorrow night is step class, so I shall see what I will do for thursday....hmmm, I think I hear the pyramids calling my name:D I also hear SB calling me too....oh so many choices so little time! BY the way I am going to order another workout series on christmas eve day (payday!) I think I'm going to get CTX finally but S&H looks good too, oh what to do????

I am off to bed to ponder that question now! Have a great night!
