Debbie aka Fitness Freak...question

I was reading a post of yours below. What is this Burn the fat, Feed the Muscle plan you were talking about? Is this an actual plan I can research or is it just something that you personally do that you gave a name to?? I'd be interested in hearing more about this.

I'm trying to gain muscle and lose an inch or so more of fat off of my belly. I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm actually trying to gain by increasing my muscle mass, but I do have excess fat in my midsection that I'm still trying to widdle away. Like I said I became intrigued when you mentioned this plan below...sounds interesting. So any further info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Debbie,

I also bought this book a few weeks ago and was wondering if you had any problem getting in all 5 meals per day. I'm eating 4 meals and consuming around 1400 calories and I am satisfied. Sometimes I have to force myself to eat so that I don't enter into starvation mode. Its been about 3 weeks and I've lost 1-2 pounds with no change in BF. The accu-measure calipers give me a consistant 8mm measure which would put me at 20% BF (my goal is 15-16%). How long did it take (and how many pounds were lost) before you saw a drop in BF? How many pounds did you lose to drop from 22% to 15%? I'm 5'1" and weigh 118 with a goal of 105-110. The pounds seem to come off more slowly the less you have to lose...did you have to get really strict with no cheat treats?

I workout 6 days per week with running, karate, yoga, pilates and strength training. On morning cardio days, I cannot eat before I workout so my first meal may not be until 9-10 am. I know thats a no-no but I cannot run with any food in my stomach.

Any insight you can send my way would be greatly appreciated. BFFM is really a great program and can easily be a lifelong way of eating.

Thanks!:)

JJ

Deni,

I contacted Tom Venuto about his e-book BFFM with questions about printing out the book. I dreaded the thought of printing it out myself so he offered to send me the printed manual in a 3 ring binder for only $10 more (it cost him $8 to ship). It was well worth it to me.:)

Thanks guys!! I'll look into the book...and JJ thanks for the heads up on getting it preprinted. Was there a way to contact him from the website Debbie provided???

Debbie,
Just a short note to offer my sincerest admiration on your before and after pics!! You look spectacular!!!! Your family must be so proud. I must ask however what was your body type prior to starting the BFFM program, ecto, endo, meso or combo? If you ever wrote a book detailing the how to's of your transformation let me assure you I would be the first in line to buy it!!! Have a good weekend!

how do you know what your body fat is? Do you do it yourself or go somewhere and have them do it for you? I was told you should have about six months inbetween times of getting it checked. I had mine done and I felt as though I should have been lower than what it said. I have seen pictures of people in magazines that are way heavier and bigger than me that start out at only 25% or so and I am thinking If she is that then there is no way I am only a few % lower. I dont understand that at all.!

I have no trouble getting in 5 meals a day, I need too because I'm hypoglycemic and when I don't eat every three hours I get light headed and dizzy. I was at 128 lbs. when I started the first 12 weeks, I lost pounds and 7% body fat in those twelve weeks. I linger between 124-126 now and my body fat is around 16%. I'll be lighter during the summer months.

Deni,
I went into contact and sent an e-mail inquiring on a pre-printed with binder and how much for total cost including shipping because I was concerned for my computer and printer. I am waiting for a response. Will let you know if and what I find out.

I just wanted to let you guys know that Debbie is so awesome, she was in Oxygen Magazine (I believe) last November. I received my issue in November, so it may actual be the "December 2005 Issue". So it's just not us who thinks she kicks ass...the folks at Oxygen Magazine and all the readers agree!

Oh, and I, too love Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle!!!

I got an e-mail back stating that it was only available downloadable online. Darn, would really like to have a pre-printed copy as I worry about my computer and printer. Oh well, I tried.

I got the same email regarding the book only being available in e-book form. I truly don't have the desire to deal with a pdf file of that magnitude. The only thing I would consider would be to donwload it and see if I could burn the file to a cd and then see if Kinko's could print it off and put it in a binder. But a) I'm not great at the whole cd burning thing, and b) I'm not sure if Kinko's could do it?? It seems as though JJ may have caught him in a good mood :) :) ...just kidding ;-) .
