Good Morning Everyone!

Today was 2 sections of Core Max. I've never done 2 sections in a row, and now I know why!!ha ha! I chose to do sections one and two in that order, but I think if I do this again, I would do section two first. by the time I was doing planks on the ball they were twice as hard!!(but I did them!yeah!) How/what core work did you all do?

This morning I am running around like crazy- the cleaning woman is coming today, so I am trying to pick up all the lego pieces, wash the sheets so she can change them, and pick up all the little things on top of the tables and dressers! plus getting my kids to school and making my steel cut oats! Also, I got a call yesterday to work this week at the school. I actually like being so busy! I think I work at the nursery school more as a sub! THis week I am with the 3 year olds!:) except tomorrow I am in the 4 year old class- I think it is their 100 day party!- I hope so!!

Good morning. I took Gin's suggestion and recorded Stretch Max and Core Max from FITtv last night. Luckily the section of core max that was on didn't use any equipment so it was ideal for me to do that one in my bedroom. :) I had to keep the volume down real low so I didn't wake up my husband but that didn't bother me for these workouts.

Deanie - I'm glad you are happy being busy. It is nice to keep the days going by quickly sometimes. I used to have a cleaning lady and would get so tired of cleaning up before she came. Ha! I hated having to pick up on a specific day instead of when it was convenient for me. But boy do I miss having my house cleaned by someone else.

Good Morning!

I did 2 sections of Core Max, but not sure which 2. The one on the stability ball and the one with the levitation holds. I was so happy that I could do all of the levitation holds. First time that has happened. Guess I am finally getting stronger.}(

Deanie--Did you have trouble getting up this morning? Enjoy teaching 4 year olds. That is the age I have been teaching for YEARS. Did they celebrate 100 days? You'll have to share any 100 day activities they did. We don't have our 100th day until the 1st of April.

Tracee--Glad you were able to record Stretch Max and Core max and do them this morning. It is definitely worth it b/c they do show the entire w/o on those 2 unlike the others.

I previewed Jari Love's Ripped to the Core dvd this morning and it really looks good. She does 2 exercises at the same time (upper and lower together) It looks pretty tough. Don't know when I will get to it.

Good morning girls! I'm back. I took 3 days off as you can see. I can't wait to get my own workout room. Hopefully then I'll be able to work out on weekends. DH always gets up earlier than me and hogs the TV. I almost got a workout in on Sunday (DH was sleeping), got all my weights out and was just about to start when the phone rang. DH woke up and that was it.

This morning I did Slim & Lean. I pretty much follow Jari's weights.
(The weights I say I used I count for each hand, I don't double it like Jari says)
Warmup - 5#
Squats - 10# dbbls
Lunges - 8#
Back lunges - no weight
Chest press - 10#
Bent leg dead lift (these feel just like squats to me) and deadrows. I think I'm going to do straight leg deadlifts from now on - 10#
Pushups - 1st set all on toes, 2nd set 1/2 toes, 1/2 knees, 3rd set 1/2 toes, 1/2 knees
Rotator cuff - 5#
Tricep dips - used 20# barbell in lap
Overhead extensions - used 8# dbbl
Traditional and hammer curls - 8#
1 legged squats - didn't hold on to anything to work core more
plie squats - 10#
Overhead press & lateral raise - 8# (I find this exercise one of the toughest)
I did the abs from Ripped 1000 - don't care for Slim & Lean abs.
Burned at least 398 calories. Didn't put HRM on until after warmup. Stayed in target zone for 40 minutes.

Gin - How did you like Slim & Lean. Glad you got these. Ripped to the Core is my favorite. I like compound moves. The levitation holds are in Core Max 1. This is my favorite of the Core Maxes. Congrats on doing the levitation holds. Those are tough.

Deanie - Let me know how you like Reach. You're enabling me to get David Swenson's yoga tape.

Tracee - Glad you were able to do Core Max.

Have any of you ever done the Core Max premixes? How were they?

Welcome Back Marcy! We missed you. Sorry about your having to share your workout room. Mine is also a guest room, but fortunataely we don't have guests in there very often. I am impressed with what you are able to do with the Slim & Lean. I liked it. A little different from Cathe. I did recognize some of the same music though. My Core Max version is taped from FitTV, so I don't have the premixes.
Tomorrow KPC or CK is on the schedule. Here is the rest of the week:
Th: 2 sections of Stretch Max
F: Core workout
S: Yoga
S: rest or stretch

Hi guys, back again:)

Tracee- glad you got to do coremax. That was good you got to tape off the tv. Are you doing Cardio Kicks tomorrow?

Gin- Tomorrow is the 100 day party. So far I know they are doing a treasure hunt looking for hersheys kisses! the kisses are numbered 1-100! I'll let you know what else they do. Also, you did the same 2 sections of core max as i did:) And YES! I did have trouble getting up this morning. I hit snooze 3! times!! But amazingly, my kids were excited to get back to school and got up no problem. PS- don't you think doing the levitation holds at the end of David Swensons yoga helps with doing Cathe's. I do.

Marcy- going to do Reach on Thurs. I'll let you know how I like it! I have done the tough abs and balanced abs premixes on Core max. I love tough abs, it lives up to its name! It is actually the workout I use most often of core max. Balanced abs was okay, but I don't think I would do it again. Also, kickbox is on the schedule for tomorrow. I am doing Cardio Kicks! Soon you will be able to too!!:)

Gin/Deanie - Since you guys have kickbox for tomorrow, I think I'll do KPC.

Deanie - Sorry I haven't been able to get out the envelope yet for CK/Circuit Max. I'll get it to you soon. I might be able to do a trade on VF for Primary Series by David Swenson. Do you know anything about this workout?

Marcy- yes, its very good. It is the next step after his 45 min. yoga. It has most of the basic poses and then some. If you do Bryan Kest-specifically Sweat- , which I think you do(?), then you should be able to do this. But FYI- he is better and a better workout than Bryan!:) And I like Bryan(and alternate between him and David)- David is just the next step up!}(
