Good Morning Everyone

Today I did Imax 2 cardio blast mania. It was a great workout! I actually had fun! and perfect amount of time. I had a hard time getting up this morning, I was up late reading (midnight) and 5:30 was just so early, I didn't get out of bed till 6:30. So 41 min. was perfect, and somehow I ended up on schedule.

It snowed a little last night, but schools are open on time today. However, its been flurrying since 7am, so I'm wondering if its going to be a half day for the kids. And OH what a mess to come home in for them- I may go pick them up at school if it is half a day. I'm not sure how safe the bus ride will be. Luckily, the school is in my neighborhood, so there are no major roads to cross or drive on.

So all, is Feb. 26th the start date for Debbies rotation?- I am going to sub PS for GS on the last week.(got the PS dvd and want to use it)

Hope you all have a great day and workout!!
BBL,
Deanie

Hi Deanie and all who follow,

This morning I did Kathy Smith's Latin Rhythm Workout. This was a beginner/intermediate workout. It was actually perfect for me easing back into cardio. Enough to get me moving but not winded. It had Salsa, Cha Cha and Merengue on it. Steps not difficult but it was fun. Blast Mania sounds like a great workout. Short, but intense.

No snow here yet. I think it's supposed to start around noon.

I was actually hoping to start Debbie's rotation March 5th but if everyone else agrees on February 26th, I'll start then too. I'm really curious to see how you like PS. I've been debating for awhile now whether or not to get it or whether it was worth it being that I already had Gym Styles, Slow & Heavy and Pyramids.

Have a great day everyone. BBL.

Good Morning! I liked Deanie's idea of the shorter IMAX2 workout and since I also had trouble getting out of bed this morning I did my version of the premix. I did the step portion of interval 1 and then the blasts only by fast forwarding my vcr. It worked out nicely because it gave me enough of a cool down in between the blasts. Then I decided to do the step portion of interval 10 because I like the music and the routine.

I think we're going to be on the Northern end of the storm so we shouldn't be getting snow until this afternoon and they're only prediciting 1 to 4 inches in my area. That's good because my kids actually want to go to school tomorrow. They have Valentine parties so they don't want to miss them.

I'm on track to be able to start Debbie's rotation on the 26th but would be willing to fill the week in with other stuff if you wanted to start it in March.

Marcy - My opinion on the PS series is that since you have the other weight workouts you don't need PS. I have it and it's one of my least favorite because it is dated. Of course if your goal is to have all of Cathe's stuff than you should get it because it is effective but I don't think you're missing out if you don't have it. I would save my money for one of her future workouts.

Time to get back to work. BBL

Marcy- I like PS. I got it before I got GS because I bought it on the vhs sale, so I've already done it. I was just switching from vhs to dvd. But I do agree with Tracy that its dated, and if you have GS you prob. dont need PS. But I do like it to change it up,( and there are some excersises in there not in the other workouts). Also, I did a great rotation of one body part a day using GS and PS together- (i.e.- tri GS, then tri PS, then half hour cardio.) So re-reading my reply, I guess I would still recommend it.

I'm not sure I can start March 5th, I have to check when my parents are coming (they stay for a week and I can't workout with them here- they come down the basement and start talking to me...x( )So I was going to take the week they come as my week off at the end of the rotation.

Good Afternoon All!

I did The Firm floor legs and then went to the gym for hamstring curl machine and 30 min. of stationary bike. I have swim class tonight. It sounds like a lot , but none of it is very intense.
I have recently purchased Low Max and Cardio Kicks/Curcuit Max from ebay. I'm crossing my fingers!

Deanie--Are you reading One More Day? Have you always worked out in your basement? We have a basement (which is rare in TX) and have considered turning it into my workout space, but I think the ceilings are too low for the high step.:-( Presently I work out in our family room/guest room and have to re-carpet more often than normal.
Is this next week's schedule?
Yoga, 2 sections Core Max, KPC or CK, 2 sections Stretch Max, Core w/o, yoga, rest or stretch
If so...sounds nice to me!

Marcy--You have quite a library of workouts!!:) Glad you're feeling better.

Tracee--Hope your kids have school tomorrow so they can attend Valentine's Party. We had ours today (I don't teach on Wed.) and there was a lot of sugar in the air!!:p

Gin- So many ?'s, so little time!!! LOL! I finished for one more day last week (?) I really enjoyed it. today I finished Elizabeth Georges "What Happened before he shot her" it was really good and the first book I've read by her. I have always worked out in my basement. Our house is 38 years old and is a split level, so I have 4 levels the kids playroom is level 3 and the basement the lowest level. The basement is unfinished, but the previous owner put up a mirror on one wall (prob. about an 6X8ft. size), painted the cinder block, put industrial linolium tile on the entire floor, a huge rug reminant(12X14) with a heavy pad under it by the mirrored wall and a set up for the tv.- So I lucked out with that. I just plopped my workout stuff on the rug and I was ready to go. Even if he hadn't done all that, I would have gotten a rug and pad and put my stuff down there.- The height of the room is probably about 7ish feet high, so when I do cycle 3 in DM with the ball, I can't move the ball over my head properly, and if my step is 8" I have to be carefull doing power 15s but its so worth it. How high is your ceiling- It may be worthwhile for you. Yes, that is next weeks schedule, but I am thinking of doing KM bootcamp as the kickbox of the week. I hope your leg is feeling well,

Deanie
