Deanines Rotation Check In 2/1

Good Morning Girls,

Just a quick hello for now- gotta sub this a.m. at the nursery school. Today was a rest day for me. My in-laws will not be here this weekend, due to the weather, and so I can workout Sat. I need a rest day, my arms are sore today.:)

Morning! Today I did S&H Bi's and Tri's. I had to do it with my daughter talking to me so that was a little hard to concentrate. Don't know why she woke up at 4:30 in the morning and didn't want to go back to sleep. :eek: I increased in most of the exercises and really pushed myself on the biceps. I managed to do 12#'s for two sets of the bicep curls and hammer curls.

Things are crazy at home right now. DH has strep throat now and has been in bed since yesterday morning. I can't believe he got it this long after DS had it. I sure hope no one else comes down with it. Today will be a short work day for me, I have a doctor's appt. this afternoon and hopefully I'll have some time to unwind before I have to pick up the kids from daycare.

ETA: I did LIC abs too and I really like those. I didn't think I'd ever say I liked an ab workout but I like the ones from this new series.

I came back to whine to you guys some more. :) I'm just sick about what has happened. I sent my cracked CTX discs back to Cathe about 2 weeks ago and I sent an e-mail to support yesterday asking how long it would be before I received the new ones. They never received my old ones!!!! I was stupid and didn't have them insured or tracked or anything like that, I just tossed them in the regular mail. Oh, I could just kick myself right now.

Hi girls,

Tracee - So sorry to hear about your CTX discs. Hopefully they'll turn up. Good work on your biceps, though. Hope your DH gets well soon. My DH has also been sick the last few days. Just went back to work today. We had painting done in our house and he thinks he got sick from the fumes. Maybe being away from the house will make him get better faster.

Deanie - How did your teaching go today?

I did IMAX 3 today. I have been trying to get the DVD on ebay. I do this from my Hardcore Extreme DVD and its extremely annoying going back and forth in the DVD menu and I feel like I never get the proper recovery between each interval. I had a pretty good workout. Burned 543 calories. Did the stretch from B&G. Really like that stretch. My hardest intervals today were 4, 7 and 8. In number 7, I had to stop when it came to the single jacks off the step. But I did them all on both sides. I love this workout. It's still a challenge. I think I was also feeling the paint fumes which is why maybe it took a little more out of me today than the last time.

I took my measurements today and I'm real happy because Cathe's January rotation definitely helped. Here are my numbers:

-1.6 pounds
-1" chest
-1" waist
-.5" hips
-.5" right thigh
-.5" left thigh
biceps stayed the same.
Body fat went from 27.9% to 23.7%.

Tracee- Sooo sorry to hear about your CTX dvds. I hope they turn up. Good job on the biceps though. For me, that is the one muscle group I have a hard time increasing my weights.

Marcy-That is great about Cathe's rotation! I would love to lose .5" from my hips!! :)

School was fun. Mostly the kids were excited about the possible snow.(me too- I hope we get a storm, the kids enjoy it through the weekend, and on Mon. all the snow magically dissappears!!:) ) I love the snow, but hate the grey/black aftermath.

Good Afternoon All!
I did David Swenson yoga and LIC abs this morning. I have a swim class scheduled, but I don't feel 100%. I woke up achy, scratchy throat, tired and it is now raining, I'm home from school and pj's and bed look very inviting!!:-(

Deanie--Hope you had a good day subbing. I received my yoga dvd yesterday and reviewed it right away. All I can say is....that man is a human pretzel!! I have never seen anyone so flexible. Fortunately he didn't have ME do those same poses!;) I enjoyed it. A few poses I had never done before.

Tracee--Sorry about you CTX dvd. Hopefully it will turn up. I can remember working out when my boys were little and my DS pointing to the tv and asking ,"Mommy, what is her name? What is her name?" You just do what you can. They grow up before you know it!

Marcy--You are the incredible shrinking woman! That is amazing what you lost in 1 month!

Okay guys...what does ETA mean? I cannot figure it out.:p

Gin - What is the actual name of David Swenson's DVD? You've got me interested. All I have is Bryan Kest and Yoga X which I haven't tried yet.

I don't know what ETA means either. I just tried to do a number of searches and couldn't find it.

Marcy-- I purchased David Swenson's Short Forms yoga dvd. If you go to his website, he has a few to choose from. Deanie is the one that told me about him. This dvd has a 15, a 30 and a 45 minute practice. I did the 45 minute today which is probably the one I will do the most. I think he calls it intermediate. I could do all but the headstand. I'll have to try that against a wall. I also have Baron Baptiste yoga, which I like. I know Deanie doesn't care for him. Never tried Bryan Kest, but may buy his next.

I really like Bryan Kest. I have his 3 DVD pack "Energize, Tone & Sweat". Sweat is the most advanced. That one has a headstand in it which I had a little trouble with as well. I really like Bryan. Some people say he talks too much, but I find his voice very soothing. All of these are around 50-55 minutes.

Gin- I am so glad you like David Swenson. I do his 45 min. one also. It Rocks!!!

Marcy/Gin- eta means- edited to add!!:) I always want to answer you all and forget half of what I wanted to say, so I post, and then realize Oh! I forgot something, and have to edit. Sometimes I edit because I realize I've spelled something wrong (I am a really bad speller)
