Good Morning Everyone!

I can't believe its Jan. 30th already!! Where did the month go? (Okay, just realized there are 31 days this month-LOL) I'm feeling alot better today about DS, thank you. He is in the school variety show, as an MC, and the 5th graders are learning the hustle as their finale. I am teaching him, and it brings back soooo many memories!!:)

Today was supposed to be Gauntlet cardio only, but for some reason, I was not in the mood. (maybe it was the thought of squat thrust climbers half way thru):) Anyway, I ended up doing LIC cardio blast timesaver(49min.) and got a great workout! I feel like even my abs got worked indirectly.

Today is the first day in a long time, I don't have to rush out anywhere and it is great!

Tracee- good luck with your ebay bids!

Marcy/Gin- thanks for your advise yesterday!

Morning ladies!

Deanie - I almost grabbed LIC this morning too but ended up doing a step blast premix. I wasn't in the mood for anything long and too exhausting (when am I ever, right?) ;-)

That variety show sounds cute and I'm glad that you're feeling better about your son.

I'm really tired this morning and I really need to find a way to get more sleep. The time just gets away from me in the evenings and before I know it it's 9:00 and all the kids are still up. :eek: It takes another hour to get them settled and myself in bed and then it's 10:30 or 11:00 before my eyes close. I'd like to be able to be asleep by 9:30 every night. That is my goal!

Just a quick post before I am off to school.
Deanie-- The variety show that your DS is in sounds like fun. Let us know about it.

Tracee--My goal also is to go to bed around 9,but last night I had some trouble. I think my body clock is still on vacation time (4 hours earlier!) and I wasn't sleepy until midnight!!:-( So, needless to say, I did w/o this morning, but will go to swim class tonight. The name of the book I told you I read...Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline, by Becky A. Bailey, PhD. I thought it was excellent. I read it as a teacher, but would recommend to ANY parent.

Hi everyone!

Today I did The Next Step by Seasun Zieger. Very complex step workout. She is one of the toughest out there but I like it that way. I like challenging my brain. I know there was some talk about complex workouts not getting your heart rate up but my average heart rate for an hour was 73% of my maximum and my high was 86%. I feel I still get a decent workout. Cathe's step workouts are more athletic but I like the more dancy, complex ones. Needless to say, Rhythmic Step and Step Blast are my favorite Cathe step workouts and I hope she'll make another one like that real soon.

Tracee - You should be real lucky if you can get to bed by 9:30. My kids were never ones to get to bed early. If I got to bed by 11, I was lucky. When the kids were little, I either had to work out at midnight or 6 a.m. Those were my only options. Good luck trying to get Gym Styles.

Deanie - Glad you had fun doing the hustle. Hope you have a fun, relaxing day. I just took out a book I had that I hadn't read in awhile called Teenagers with ADD: A Parent's Guide by Chris Zeigler Dendy. Very useful book. She also has a book called Teaching Teens with ADHD. I know your DS isn't quite a teenager yet but you should keep it in mind going forward.

Tracee-- If you are really wanting the Gym Styles on ebay, wait until the last 30 seconds and then place your bid. Hope you get it! Let us know.

Marcy--It sounds as if step aerobic choreography comes easily to you. I wish that it did for me! I'm always thankful that no one sees me when I exercise. I'm sure I look pretty goofy!!:p

Deanie--Are you still eating protein with each meal? Suggestions? I probably don't eat enough protein.
