Deanie's Rotation Check In for Monday 1/19

Good Morning ladies. Sorry I wasn't around all weekend. We were at a basketball tournament for my oldest son plus we had a wedding. I did RS on Saturday, took Sunday as a rest day because I really needed to lay around in the morning and today I did MIS. That was a tough one, I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow. I already can feel the weakness in my muscles. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it because it is so old and it's not the crew that I like but the workout itself is good so I think it will be fun to do every so often.

I'm feeling kind of lost with this rest week. Since I only have one yoga tape and no other stretching tapes I just don't know how I'm going to fill the week. I guess I'll try to do short workouts and no heavy lifting.

Gin - How did your WW meeting go? How often do you go to meetings?

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We're expecting temperatures in the mid 30's maybe even 40 degrees this week. Yippee! :D I hope that means spring is on it's way.

Good morning!
A quick post before I head out the door.
Tracee--Do you have FitTV? They show Cathe Stetch Max and Core Max and there is a yoga show. Sorry I don't know the schedule. I didn't end up going to my WW mtg. :-( I was worried that I would have to pay...over my goal!! I will need to go next weekend. I go once a month as lifetime to weigh in.

Deanie--How was David Swenson this morning? Did you do the headstand with him?

Marcy--Don't know if you saw my post from yesterday, but I bought 3 of Jari Love's dvds for $6 each. Couldn't resist. I knew you had them and liked. I did Slim&Lean yesterday. My shoulders are sore today.

I am going to yoga class tonight. It felt very strange not to do any exercise this morning!!:p

Good Morning Tracee and all who come after,

Today I did David Swenson yoga. Once again, I really enjoy this practice. It was the perfect length, since I slept in again today. The kids have no school for presidents day. I know I am going to have a problem tommorow waking up at 5:30 a.m. after our little "snow vacation" and I've been sleeping in for 5 days now!:+

Tracee- Sounds like you had a fun weekend! How did your son do in the basketball tournament? do you have core max? thats on schedule tomorrow, if not, you could do the abs from B&G both the ankle weights and stability ball, and that would be a good substitution. Also, I have a couple yoga tapes, but I'm going to do the same one this week, both today and the last day (I think) are yoga days.

Gin- how did your WW meeting go? I hope good.

Marcy- Hope you had a good workout this morning.

Gin - I do have FitTV but only on the tv in my bedroom which is not where I do my workouts. However, I might try to record a few for this week and see if I can figure out how to do them in there without getting interrupted. Hopefully they have Cathe's stretch max on the schedule this week.

Deanie - Thanks for asking about my son's basketball tournament. They did pretty well considering they didn't do very well during the regular season. He's in 5th grade but the skill level at some of the area schools is unbelievable. They finished 4th out of 10 teams, they would have gotten a medal if they had gotten 3rd. Oh well, it was fun anyway. I love watching my kids play sports.

Deanie - Good Luck getting up tomorrow, that is going to be tough. I hope your boy's get up easily for you too.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Deanie--Hope you are able to get up at 5:30am tomorrow after your mini vacation. The yoga class I go to is FILLED with college students. The instructor is great. I belong to a wonderful university fitness center that is just a mile from my house. I do feel like the old lady in there, but I can keep up.:7

Tracee--What great memories watching your kids play sports! I attended many games throughout the years. B&G abs with the stability ball is a great suggestion from Deanie.

Marcy--We miss you. Hope you are having a good day!

My college soph. DS has been feeling down lately and doesn't know why. He started running last summer and LOVES it, but a few weeks ago hurt his knee and had to stop running. He notices a big difference in his mood when he is able to run. I have tried to encourage him to do other types of cardio, but he prefers to run. My point is....excercise is like medicine. But, I know you all knew that!! :7 I just pray that his knee heals, so he can go back to running.

Gin - I completely agree that exercise is like medicine. Good for everything that ails ya! Well, not things like injuries. Ha! Sorry to hear that your son isn't able to run right now. I'm sure running helps relieve a lot of stress that comes along with college. I hope he's feeling better soon.

Marcy - Are you still with us? Miss hearing from our 4th member.
