Good Morning Girls:)

Today was GS legs standing and coremax 1, I also did stretchmax 1. I enjoyed this workout. GS legs, knowing I only had to do half was mentally easier. and coremax 1 is my favorite coremax. Stretch max is just okay, but I felt I had to do it. Oh, and I only did the same weights as Cathe, because I did soooo much walking the last 2 days, I felt my legs were already worked out!!

Philly was fun, and we lucked out with weather. We did the Franklin Institute (the kids loved) the planitarium there, and King Tut exhibit. We met my in-laws for King tut and we all went to Pat's Steaks for dinner and then out for ices! (Pats is famous in Philly for the best steak sandwiches!!). The next day we did all the historic stuff: independence hall, the liberty bell, ben franklins house and betsy ross house (they also had short plays outside we watched~ sword fighting and women in the rev. war) and then the Bourse building is where we had lunch. A really fun short vacation! Next year, we'll be able to take a real vacation when my DH has been at his job for over a year, but this was wonderful.

Gin~ WELCOME BACK!!:) I got the pictures they were great, and I saw you on Tess's video!:) you are a star;-) The road trip sounded great! What did your dh do while you were at the trip all weekend? Did you like Philly and Hershey? While I was excited for you and the whole road trip thing, I still don't think its for me. I would have HATED the relay race thing (I hate those things) and I would have only wanted to take one, maybe 2 classes on Sat. If you and Marcy go next year, I would drive up and try and meet you guys maybe on a sun.(Its only about 2 hours from here)

Marcy~ What did you end up doing today? The ballet workout you did yesterday sounds good. How's the house selling going? We are going to look into bathfitters come Jan. Thanks for the info.

Tracee~ What did you do today? Good workout?

Hi Girls!

Today was GS Chest & Triceps. I still haven't made up yesterday's Core Max 1 yet but I guess I'll do that one tomorrow and the other one on the weekend. I did the mix-n-match again. It didn't really take me that much longer than usual. Today was the first time I did the pushups without taking extra rests. Thank you Tony! Here are my stats:

All Bench Presses and Chest Flies: 16#. I have done them with 17# when I had my other ankle weights but since those broke on me I can only make 16# but this felt like a good weight for me.
Bbl Close Grip Press - 36# for set 1, 40# for set 2 but no bonus round.
Dips with 36# bbl
Dbbl Lying Extensions: 13# both sets
Dbbl Seated Extensions: 25# both sets but only did 11 reps each.
Dbbl Cross Body Extensions: 13# both sets
Dbbl Kickbacks: 13# set one, 15# set two
I was using a medium weight band for the band work but I think I'm going to try my heavy band next time. I just wasn't feeling the "bonus burn", especially on the cross body extensions.

This didn't seem to be as dreaded a workout as it used to be. Mix-n-match is a bit of pain but I think I like it this way. I'm really curious to see how the new workouts are with the push/pull. Then I won't need to use mix-n-match.

Deanie - Core Max 1 is also my favorite Core Max. 2 is getting too easy for me and for some reason, I rarely do 3. Glad you had such a nice vacation. It sounded like a lot of fun. David Howard's class yesterday was better than the Melissa Lowe workouts although I still think she's pretty good. I'd like it if she did a more advanced workout. Hope bathfitters works out for you. My tub is still leaking so I'm still going to get it done. I was hoping we'd be in contract by then and maybe wouldn't have to but I don't think we have a choice. There won't be any open house this weekend, probably next weekend. So far I'm happy with the new broker. We're back up on the multiple listing and he's advertised everywhere we wanted. I'd love to meet you in person if I do the RT next year.

Deanie - I don't know what PYFGO means either. I was wondering the same things. Maybe check back to their first check-in (I think it's pretty new.)

Good morning girls. Today I skipped the workout but I'm already thinking of how I can get it done tonight. Not sure if the kids will leave me alone or not. If not, I'm going to do it tomorrow and just skip the lower body workout. I'd rather do more upper body than lower body anyway.

Deanie - Glad to hear that you had an enjoyable vacation with the family. I think sometimes that's the best ones anyway so you don't get annoyed with each other. I tried to figure out what the PYGFO check-in was by reading their threads but I couldn't. It seems to be an inside joke for people who were at the roadtrip.

I wish I was closer to NJ so I could take a short trip on my own to Cathe's gym. My sister used to live really close to their but they've moved back to Michigan so I don't go to NJ anymore.

Gin - I really liked your pictures, you're very pretty. I love the one of you and the crew and the close up with Cathe. Also, I noticed that you still look good when you sweat because your makeup is still in place in that one picture with the step!!:D
 
Marcy~Thanks! I never would have guessed that! I did read thru one day of the thread, but couldn't find an answer!LOL You got a great workout today! Your triceps are really strong. when you did the mix and match, did you do all the pushups and then on to triceps, then back to bench press, then tri., etc??? I guess I am asking how exactly did you use the mix and match? I may try tomorrow....

Tracee~ I hope you get your workout in tonight. My kids get very little, or no screen time(game cube, computer, tv, game boy) but that would be one time I would let them with no complaints!!:) I would rather work upper body also. Sometimes I think 1 hour of legs is to much. That is one of the reasons I like this months rotation!

Gin~I read thru the PYGFO thread and saw your son was newly engaged! Congrats!!!!:7 :7

I don't know about you guys, but my abs have been feeling "flabby" I'm glad I worked them out today. Its been 7 days since core syn. for me and I was feeling tubby! As I was putting on my size 2 capris today I was thinking "please fit, please fit"!! Boy was I surprised when they did! My eating has been "eh" these days, and I do sit around lately more than usual, so I was wondering if I was gaining weight or what!! Okay, rant over. Happy to still fit in my clothes!!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I am late posting today. DH was on the computer this morning and then I have been at school all day working on my room.
I did GS C&T this morning.

Deanie--Sounds like a you had a good vacation with the kids. I can't believe we just just barely missed each other in the same city! If you don't go on the RT next year, you should at least meet Marcy at Cathe's gym and take one of her classes and meet her. I would do it in a heartbeat if I were only 2 hours away. I would love to go on the RT next year, but worried about being able to get in. You certainly were not required to participate in anything you didn't want to. Philly and Hershey were good. We did a lot of walking. I was only a "star" because I was next to Brenda and everyone wanted a pic of her. "Put Your Game Face On" was printed on the t-shirts they gave us. Okay...you are never going to be "tubby" in a size 2!!

Marcy--Sounds like you had a good workout. C&T was tough for me today. I THINK I have recovered from the RT. The workouts were so fun,but I think I was a little tired just from the lack of sleep!

Tracee--I'm sure I wasn't wearing any make-up during the step class. I have total frizz hair in the pic with Cathe (it was taken not long after her last class) and of course she looks beautiful in every single picture!

Yes, my DS is engaged. They have set the date for April 12.:)
