Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did PP upper body (3x) and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did go down in weights from what Cathe was doing. I figured that was what I was supposed to do, right? I am STILL sore from Tuesday's kickbox and now sore from yesterday's leg w/o. Are you guys sore?x( I'm trying to figure out how I can run with my friend (a commitment) tomorrow and still do 72 min. of CF and be at work at 8!?! Is that obssessive?;-)

I did post last night.

Deanie, Marcy , Tracee--What workout are you guys doing?

Cheryl--How is the nutrition today?

Here's mine--
B-orange, oatmeal, soy milk, 1/2 scoop protein powder
S-1/2 protein bar
L--veggies, cheese stick wrapped in turkey, grapes

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Hey Girls~

A very busy day, both kids out till 11:30, I'm trying to squeeze in 72 errands!!!LOL

Today I did PP upper 3X, and I liked it. I used the same weights as Cathe (went higher for flys and front shoulders). This is my first time doing this premix, and I would do it again. Really liked the bi/tri part. I'm not sore from yesterday, but I never sat down, so my legs didn't get a chance to get DOMs.

Gin~ I am switching tomorrow because of a time factor: I am doing BM2 timesaver cardio (43 min.) wanna join me?:) Glad your mom is coming home:7 :7 Are you still going to visit her?

Marcy/Tracee~ what did you guys do today? Congrats Tracee to your son, even if he didn't win last weekend, good luck on the Champ. coming up.

Cheryl~ YOU ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH!! Sorry if I'm coming on to strong, but it is really unhealthy to eat so little, and then to workout. If you need suggestions, ask us, we'd be happy to help. (Grab a high protein bar for a snack)

Okay, so much to do, so little time.....
Have a good day all

Hi guys. No workout for me today. I was really looking forward to upper body today too. I was soooo tired that I don't remember hitting the snooze this morning but when I actually woke up it was a half hour after my alarm first goes off. So, I'll be doing that one tomorrow and find time to squeeze in the cardio somewhere.

Deanie/Gin - Glad to hear you guys liked the 3x routine because I was thinking it might be too much.

Gin - I'm glad your mom is coming home, that's good news.

I won't be back to check in until maybe Friday morning. I'm leaving work at noon and then I'll be busy until we leave for the game.

Have a great day ladies.

Hi all,

I'm taking a quick break at work, cause I'll be swamped the rest of the day. I did the timesavers GS - bi/tri/chest/back/shoulders and my arms are feeling it...still and it's been 3 hours!

I will work on my eating. It's just finding the time to make my meals. as you know from my posts, I always get home late, so making meals is hard for me - but I know I just have to work around it. I do need snacks or something I can grab until I can get to meals. You all have given me some great ideas. One question...what kind of protein bars do you all eat? I want to get ones that are good and not really a candy bar pretending to be a protein bar.

Let me know.

I hope to comment more later.

have a great day!

Hi Ladies!

Today was Supersets Upper Body. Was supposed to do ME Abs too but got up late again today (1 hour late) so I will do them tomorrow. I managed to do 2 sets for the first two sections and only 1 set for the second 2 sections. I basically used the weights Cathe used. On the bench press in the 2nd round, I didn't do the second set of pulses. For the preacher curls, I used a 26# bbl and didn't do the bonus reps. For the rear delt flys, I used 5#. For concentration curls, I did 12# for the regular reps and then dropped to 10# for the bonus reps. I didn't do all the bonus reps. I think there's around 30 reps on each arm. It's just a bit too much for me. Thank goodness I previewed this last night and set up my weights or I never would have gotten this done this morning. I think there's a glitch on my DVD because the first round went on for 3 sets instead of 2.

Gin - I'm not too sore this week. I think you better leave CF for later in the day. That sounds like a bit much to do all that and be at work by 8.

Deanie - I went higher for shoulders, tris, 1-arm rows and even the hammer curls (which was shocking to me since I seem to have a problem with hammer curls, but I did a lot of them in the X so I guess that helped). I don't think I'll ever be able to match her in chest.

Tracee - Hope your DS does well at his game.

Cheryl - Glad you enjoyed B&G. I'm not into doing lunges, squats and leg presses anymore so I like GS Legs better and L&G is my favorite. I think you gave me the wrong e-mail address. I sent them again. Let me know if you got them. I have to agree with Deanie, you're not eating enough which will leave you exhausted and you won't have any energy for your workouts. You have to fuel your body with the right stuff for maximum results. I know it's hard to find the time in the morning. I quite often make an egg white omelet and stick in peppers and onions, asparagus or mushrooms. I buy the egg whites in the container which saves a little time. Try and cut up the veggies the night before so you can just add them in in the morning. Also, you might want to try some reduced fat chocolate milk after your workout. It's a good post-workout recovery drink. Don't worry about your posts being long. As you probably have seen, mine go on forever too.

Have a great day everyone. BBL.

Hi all

Cheryl~ I eat the Cliff protein builders bar (20g protein) I usually eat 1/2 the bar as my mid morning snack. Marcy had some good suggestions on the eating. Also, you could get the Lean Cuisine, or WW frozen meals if you hate cooking dinner.

Marcy~ Looks like you had a good workout today. I think we are doing SS next week (I think I will preview it also to figure out my weights)

Tracee~ Have a great weekend. Hope DS does well in his game.

Gin~ Whats the Dr. Suess book today?:) I hope your not too sore tomorrow.

Deanie

eta:
snack: a few almonds (not many woke up late and need to workout asap)
bfast: 1 1/2c. Kashi go lean
snack: 1/2 Cliff protein bar
lunch: hummus with whole wheat mini pita, 1/4c vanilla yogert over 1c. straw/blueberries
snack: not sure (either banana or second 1/2 of cliff bar~ I will be running around)
dinner: 2 morning star mushroom lovers burgers, green beans, WW bagel w/fake butter
Now it looks like I'm not eating enough!LOL I will prob. have a snack after dinner~

Hi Again!

Deanie - Supersets seems to have a lot more reps than Push/Pull so you might not want to go too heavy.

ETA:

Breakfast: Fiber One Bar (no, it's not a protein bar; it's a feel good bar but does have 9 grams of fiber)
Snack: Dried plums and almonds
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Cheese Ravioli
Snack: Reduced Fat Mozarella Cheese
Dinner: Don't know yet. I'm supposed to go dancing tonight so I didn't take anything out of the freezer. But now the weather is supposed to be really bad so I might not go and the cupboards are just about empty. I might have to stick with a bowl of soup and maybe some tuna. I don't think I'm eating enough either. Getting up late puts my whole diet out of whack.

Marcy

Good Afternoon Ladies!

It sounds as if everyone is busy, tired and not eating enough! I was really looking forward to doing CF, but I guess I should do a shorter pre-mix. Not sure what yet.

Denaie--I will probably go visit my mother next week. Now I am thinking I should have lifted same as Cathe this morning since you did. I thought I needed to go lighter with so many reps. We read Bartholemew and the Oobleck today and then made "oobleck" to play with and take home. It's a gluey mix of water, glue, borax and green food coloring. We also rented a "jump house" to play in.:p

Tracee--Good luck with the baseball state tournament....exciting!

Cheryl--I have another food idea. I used to make a big pot of vegetable soup on the weekend and heat a big mug every day. I would chop up about 10 differnet types of veggies that I like and add about 1 c. of chicken broth, boil and simmer for about 30 min. Do add 1 can of Rotel tomatoes for flavor. You can add chopped chicken for some protein.

Marcy--Why does kickbox always leave me sore like no other?? Enjoy dancing tonight!

Gin:)

Hi Again -

Gin - There's a mixed cardio premix on Cardio Fusion which is 41 1/2 mins. It's got BM2 warmup, DM cardio drills 1-6 and BM2 stretch or there's the All Step Cardio which is 48 mins. which is BM2 warmup and bonus cardio, LIC bonus cardio, BM2 power circuits and BM2 stretch (this one actually sounds pretty good!). Kickbox probably leaves you sore because your whole body is involved from arms to legs to core. I don't think I'm going dancing tonight. There are some really nasty storms going on up here. There was even an F1 tornado that hit on Long Island last night. It seems like every Thursday something happens with the weather.

Marcy

Marcy--
Thanks for the info on the CF premixes. Those both sound good. I was crazy thinking I could exercise for 102 min. + driving time to and from running site and be at work by 8!
Sorry about the bad weather making a dent in your dancing plans. Be careful.

Hi all

I just got back from the hospital. My mom had to have surgery, basically, her insides were starting to fall out. I wonder if it had to do with all us kids (there are 8 in my family). anyway, I'm really tired and will never get up if I don't go to bed now, but I had to comment on you Marcy!

I just saw your pics and I'm amazed! You look awesome...especially your mid-section. From front to back!! I have the P90x program, but struggled so much with some of the items and when my parents' health declined...I just didn't have time (my dad will be getting surgery next...to have stints put in his neck...he already had a quintuple bypass...sigh).

Anyway, I just wanted to say that (sorry about the wrong e-mail too!!) and say good nite...

more (late) tomorrow night :)
