Good Morning Girls :)

Todays word of the day is Engage!!! I did core synergistics this mornning! WOW what a great workout I had. I upped my weights from tuesday, and really did "engage" my core. Everytime I do this dvd, I think about doing the X! Then I remember the $$ and think "never mind!" I would like to do another round of the X, maybe in March using Cathes new series. (As long as she doesn't have anything coming out March- May!)

Anyway, I actually got up in time to workout this morning(before the kids woke up) even though I got home last night at 11:30! Waaaayyy past my normal bedtime. I had a great time, and won 3 hands!!:)This mahjong group plays till 11pm. Which is okay in the summer, but I wonder if I will have to take Fri. off from working out, in the school year. I don't think I can get to bed at midnight, and wake up at 5a.m.ish to workout!!!(although DH waited up for me last night, and we went to bed at midnight, and he got up for work at 4a.m.!!!! poor guy!)

Marcy~ I told my DS your home was 150 years old, he thought that was cool too!!:) What did you end up doing today?

Tracee~ I hope your still with us, just taking some time off!!!!!!

Cheryl~ Sorry about your computer problems, but glad you are going to do the rotation with us next week. I think we are all going to be a little off next week, gin on the road trip, you and i on vacation.

I actually almost posted first but was answering another post. This morning I got up a little late so I did Baron's Ultimate Challenge which is about 45 minutes. I wasn't crazy about this one the first time, thought it was okay but I enjoyed it more this time. It's great if you have tight hamstrings which is what I always have after dancing the night before. I had a really good workout, was able to hold the poses and felt very flexible. Here is a rundown of the poses in case you're interested:

Sun Salutations (A&B)
Big Toe Pose
Gorilla
Extended Triangle Pose
Twisting Triangle Pose
Side Angle Pose
Spread Feet Poses (A through D) C has the arms clasped overhead.
Side Stretch Pose (hands in reverse prayer position in small of back)
Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose (balance posture - front, side and front, then hold in front with pointed toe).
Intense Stretch Pose
Sun Salutation into Fierce Pose (Chair)
Warriors 1 and 2
Staff Pose - (sitting with feet in front of you stretching forward)
Forward Bend Pose (3 positions) holding big toes, hands around feet, thumbs towards instep and hands clasped around feet
Intense Backward Stretch Pose - leaning on elbows lifting hips off floor)
Jump back into sun salutation into sitting position
Single Leg Forward Bending Pose (one leg forward, one bent to inner thigh), do sun salutation, then do other leg
Single Leg Spiral Twisting Pose
Boat Pose and Levitation Holds (Deanie, the levitation holds were hard here for me as well. Like I said yesterday, I think it helps me if the feet are in lotus.)
Lying Down Big Toe Pose (hold front, side and front)
Bridge, Wheel, Shoulder Stand, Plow, Press the Ear, Fish and Extended Leg Pose in Fish with both legs in air
Lotus - lean back and lean forward, mindful breathing

Deanie - Sounds like you had a great workout. Core Syn is really great. Good work on upping your weights. Maybe you could acquire single workouts little by little on ebay. There's a seller roleez1 that has reasonable shipping (around $3.00) and has all of them. Like I said previously, you don't need Cardio X or Ab Ripper X since they're basically on the other DVDs. I think if you just got the strength workouts, it would be good - Back & Biceps; Chest, Shoulder & Triceps; Chest & Back; Shoulders & Arms; and Legs & Back. I think Cathe's kickboxing workouts are better than Kenpo X (not that it's a bad workout but I like Cathe better). Congrats on winning last night. Fridays are hard for me to get up after dancing. I usually go to bed around 12. I woke up around 4:30 and went back to bed, alarm went off at 5:20, rested a little more and didn't get up until 6. I usually need 6-7 hours sleep. My DH gets up at 4 a.m. too. Needless to say, he's a little cranky on Fridays without much sleep but he stays up so there's a parking spot for me when I get home. It will be nice to come home and park in a garage someday soon.

Cheryl - Hope your computer gets fixed soon and I'm glad you'll be joining us for the rotation. Have a great time in Florida.

Tracee - Hope you're having a relaxing week and will be ready for Monday.

Hi guys. I'm still here with you although I did take a couple of days off from even opening Cathe's site. I usually open it a couple of times a day so that has been weird for me. Anyway, thanks for the support while I had my mini breakdown. :) I'm feeling much better now and can blame most of my earlier feelings on PMS. I don't know why it hit me harder this month than other times but it did.

Anyway, I've taken it real slow this week and have done 3 ab/yoga workouts. I think I'll be all ready to start back up full swing next week with a positive attitude!!

Can't wait to hear all about the road trip and see some pictures and hopefully hear about a release date for the new videos.

Hey Girls!
Just a quick post. Hope you all see this. I miss chatting with you. We are on our way to Hershey,PA. The Road Trip was so fun and I thought of all of you and wished that you were here. I will post pics when I get home, but I'm sure several others will post plenty! Home on Tuesday.
