Good Morning Girls :)

Today is BM2 timesaver cardio. Believe it or not I have not worked out yet! I could not get out of bed this morning!! So while the kids are out this morning I will workout. I hope I do. I am not usually good at the working out after bfast thing!!LOL

I am not going to post my eating ahead of time... yesterday I posted ahead of time, then ended up deviating. I was not really that hungry yesterday. So for today...
Bfast: steel cut oatmeal, 1 c. and one banana
I will eat later after my workout, thinking about boca breakfast patties(2)
not sure about the rest of the day:)

Gin~ What did you end up doing today? Are you sore? I woke up and my body was achy, but when I started moving around I was fine. Keep us posted on your mom, hope she's doing well.

Marcy~ What was on your agenda today?

Cheryl~ Hows the early morning workouts going?

Tracee~ Hope you have a great weekend (not sure if your checking in today?)

Later,

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I ran 3 miles and then decided to do 33 min. of CF which was perfect and since I will be doing DM tomorrow I didn't want to do that 2 days in a row! I am so glad it is Friday!! We ended up going to a baseball game with friends last night and didn't get to bed until 11 and this old girl is quite tired! :p DH's birthday is today (same as Cathe's).

Deanie--I am not sore today...yeah! My mom is better, thank you. She just has to gain her strength back.

Cheryl--Sorry to hear about your parent's health. How are they today?

Marcy--What w/o are you doing toay?

Tracee--Good luck with the baseball games!

MY last day of summer fun! Today is How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Morning all!

Today I did PP premix that most of you did yesterday. I liked it but wouldn't want to to do it too often because it's so repetitive. I was able to do the same as Cathe in most of the sets except when I didn't have the right size dumbbell.

Gin - How funny that you're reading a Christmas book in the middle of July. Hope the kids are loving it. I hope your mom has a speedy recover and gets her strength back.

Cheryl - I have similar issues that you have when it comes to not having enough time to plan meals. I end up eating junk food too because there is nothing in the house. Someday I hope to improve on this.

Baseball update: The boy's won their game last night so they play again today at 6:00. If they lose they have to play at 8:00 but if they win they don't have to play until Saturday afternoon.

Have a great day and a great weekend. I probably won't be back on the computer until Sunday or Monday.

Good Morning Ladies!

I had a lousy workout this morning. I did Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix. I liked the workout but I was just out of it and my brain wasn't working. I had no energy. It didn't help that she doesn't really break down the steps at all and her step is complex. A lot of it faces away from the step. There were one or two combos that were somewhat similar to Cathe which I got without too much of a problem. I really need to preview before I do this again. I seemed to catch on much quicker with her Step Sweatfest. I really liked the choreography and I'm sure I'll love this workout once it gets into my system. This was like an IMAX and had interval blasts. I couldn't tell you if it was more intense than an IMAX because I didn't put my full energy into it but I think it comes pretty close. Tracey's not as good at cueing as Cathe and her voice doesn't come across very loud so sometimes I think I may have missed what she said. The interval blasts were jacks and plyos, something like the chaturanga run in Core Syn but holding on to the step, slow power scissors (Mary Katherines in the X). I never had time to do ME Abs so I'm going to try and do them tonight. My never ending problem of fitting abs in.:-( I'm sure my total lack of sleep this week didn't help and it being TTOM and all.

DH was too funny. We went out last night for dinner (wasn't too healthy a dinner but at least we shared it) and he said "I went to get my candy and I found your exercise videos, I opened the cabinet under the TV, there were more exercise videos, I look on the racks, there are exercise videos, I open the wall unit, more exercise videos, I open the closet in the computer room, more exercise videos, I open our bedroom closet, I find a chin-up bar. I'm afraid to open up anything else, I don't know what I'm going to find next!" :7

Cheryl - I'm so sorry about your mom. I didn't know you came from such a big family. Are you oldest, youngest or in the middle? Thanks for all the compliments. P90X is definitely worth doing when you have the time. I hope your Dad's surgery goes well. I've had lots of issues with my parent's health too. My dad had a quadruple bypass years ago and my mom just got over her 2nd bout with colon cancer.

Deanie - Hope you have a great workout.

Gin - Glad the premix worked for you. Did you say old? Who's old?:7 I'm glad your mom is better. Happy birthday to your DH. My dad's birthday is tomorrow. I always loved How The Grinch Stole Christmas. We actually have a huge blow up of the Grinch for our front yard (thanks to DH. It was his idea. He saw it in the store and couldn't pass it up.)

Tracee - Hope the baseball games go well. Have a great workout.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Afternoon all~

I actually did do my workout this morning after the kids were gone! I really enjoyed it, and seemed to have alot of energy~ possibly becuase it wasn't 6 a.m.! It also was the perfect amount of time. I thought todays cardio: BM2 bonus cardio twice and the power circuits minus the leg work, was as hard as an Imax!! I forgot how much I enjoy the new dvds, and am looking forward to DM tomorrow (my favorite circuit workout)

I know in the intro to Debbies rotation, she says legs are only worked once a week, but with the cardio and the circuits its definatly more. I know its only 2 weeks, but I am seeing results, and really enjoying the premixes!

Gin~ glad your mom is better:) Happy Bday to DH! Xmas in July, I'm sure the kids will love it!

Marcy~ Sorry about your workout. I know for me I'd be ticked off all day if my workout wasn't good in the morning. I LOL from your DH's comment~ I can only imagine all your workout dvds:)

Tracee~ YEAH!! for your sons team. I hope you have an exciting weekend of baseball.

Cheryl~ Sorry about your mom. I just read yesterdays post.

I will be checking in this weekend

1 more day to Harry Potter~ I don't know who's more excited~ me or DS!!

Have a good one~

Hi Again!

Deanie - I definitely get just as good a workout from BM2 that I do from an IMAX. My heartrate really gets up high. I have probably close to 150 workouts/DVDs but then I don't feel so bad when I hear about people over at VF having 500-900! I love just about all the workouts I have but I just wish I had the time to do them all of them as much as I'd like. My DH also commented last night that he thought I didn't look as good as a couple of weeks ago. It seems that everytime I do an endurance rotation he makes this comment. Although I do feel good with this rotation and I think I'm getting more definition/not mass and I checked my arms and my measurements are still the same. I guess he just likes my look when I lift heavy. I don't know what rotation I'll be doing next. Either doing a few weeks of still catching up on new workouts or I'll see what Cathe cooks up for August. Enjoy Harry Potter! Are you going to stay up all weekend reading?

Tracee - Congrats on your DS's win. Good luck this weekend!

Have a good weekend. I'll try and check in.

Marcy

Marcy~ I don't know if I missed you or not, but check out Cathes' April 2005 rotation. Its strenth building with very little cardio using the GS series. I will be doing that next(with some revisions- i.e no 20 min. cardio with GS chest and tri), unless Cathe "cooks up a good one for August". I had printed it out last month to do if we didn't all agree on doing the same rotation this month(hope that makes sense)!! I will be getting the Harry Potter book,(My DSs birthday present, so its not even my book!LOL) on Sat. morning. Since we both read the Harry books, and we've read all but the 6th outloud together, I asked if we could read this one together. We'll see. I can't wait to find out who wins~ good or evil! Do you read the books?

Deanie

I read the first three with my son but no more after that. I did like them though. I have the 4th and 5th ones. Maybe one day I'll pick them up but don't have any desire to at the moment. I'll go check out the April 2005 rotation. Never did that one.

Marcy

I never did the 4/05 rotation either, but it looks really good, and I'm excited to try it. I was also going to add a few changes: no 20 min light run on chest & tri days, and I was seriously thinking of just doing 8-10 reps for each excersise instead of the 12-15 Cathe does. Except legs, I was going to follow that as is. I was going to ask on O.D. forum if anyone had done that with GS and what kind of results they got. (Maybe I'll "Ask Cathe" on her forum....) Any way, let me know what you think.

Deanie:*

Hi Deanie!

The 4/5 rotation looks pretty good. I agree, no 20 min. light run days. Chest & Tris usually takes me a long time to get through and I probably wouldn't have time for it anyway. Besides, I hate running (although I'll eventually try it again someday.) Also, since I don't really do standing work, I'll probably eliminate the second leg day and since I'm pretty much only working out 5 days a week, I'll do the Sunday cardio on Wednesdays. I also like the 8-10 rep idea. I also might sub Pure Strength for 2 out of the 4 weeks just for a change. I'm dying to try them and since PS seems to be the original GS and only has 10 reps, I think it might be a good idea. A lot of people over at VF have pulled these out and have really been liking them. They're also shorter which would be nice as I'm always running out of time lately. I've always gotten good results with GS and I really like them so all in all, I think it's a good rotation.

Marcy

Good Afternoon!
I am officially through with Summer Fun!! Now I have 5 more weeks til I go back to school.:p Definitely not ready yet.
I wondered what rotation you guys were thinking about next. I'll have to take a look at April 05. After we finish this one, I will have 5 days until I leave for the Road Trip. I wonder if it is like a before a marathon and you start to taper off in mileage before the actual event??:7
I made another trade on VF. I traded 2 of my Firm vhs tapes for 2 Baron Baptiste..Core Power and The Initial Challenge.

Tracee--I read the Grinch today just because we were reading Dr. Seuss and that is definitely one of their favorites. Congrats on the baseball win. Good luck tonight!

Marcy--Sorry you didn't have a good workout this morning. LOL about you DH finding all of those hundreds of exercise videos. I can just picture that.He didn't seem upset though. That's good! I am kind of like that with my needlepoint. It is everywhere!

Deanie--Harry Potter fan, huh? Didn't know that about you. My DS has several of the books, but I have not read them.

Cheryl--Let us know how your mom is doing.

Gin

Okay...I just took a look at the April 95 rotation and it has an awful lot of The GS series. Is that when you guys were talking about alternating with PS. That is the one I don't have. What do you think about Dec 06 using GS and the latest series?

Gin

Gin - Sounds like you made a good trade. I actually did the Dec '06 rotation. I'd actually like to try PS since I haven't been able to use them yet. I don't know if I could do GS for a whole month either. You know me, I like variety. Enjoy your 5 weeks off. I'm still jealous you're going on the road trip without me.:( Maybe next year if I'm lucky. Remember, you have to give us all the details!

Marcy

Gin~ Did we do Dec 06? It looks good. I am going to stick with April 05 for the next rotation. I'm not 100% sure I will alternate it with PS, although I like that idea. But I like doing less cardio, and coremax twice a week, and I haven't done GS in a while. If you don't have PS and want to do the April rotation, you can do it as is.
